La Table D'Alexandre

My friend and I dined here for dinner/supper on October 8, 2023.

We wanted one of our last meals in Nozy Be to be memorable and it did so!

We asked our hotel to make reservations for us.

We were able to pay in Eur at the most competitive exchange rates I’ve ever seen in Madagascar. Double check if you can as well but bring both currencies just in case. I emailed and they responded within 30 minutes of the email. I think these rates were off google. This showed honesty and transparency!

The price was cheaper than we expected! To get this type of service at the price we got was amazing!

We arrived when the chef arrived home so they were just prepping and getting ready.

A table for two was set for us. We sat outside. So you may get a few bites in the evening but no big deal.

As we were the only guests, it felt like a VIP experience. I believe they are busier for lunch?

The Chef walked us through the menu which was written on a surfboard.

We both ordered the chicken which was stuffed with a meat filling of sorts. My friend ordered “mashed sweet potato”, and I ordered “fries”. There were other options available like a salad, aubergine, etc.

The chicken was so tender, the sauce was plentiful to keep it moist, the stuffing was so “homey”. I used the bread to soak up the sauce.

For dessert my friend ordered the tiramisu and I ordered the banana flambé with a side of vanilla ice cream (not shown).

We loved it!

Also, for the Chef/owner we said hi to Elma!

Un lieu comme nous aimerions en proposer plus souvent à nos voyageurs en mal d'authenticité.
Alexandre a su proposer un hébergement en harmonie avec son milieu et loin des standards aseptisés de Nosy Be.
L'accueil est chaleureux et l'impression d'être loin de toutes nuisances sonores se fait rapidement sentir.
Les repas sont de qualité dans un décor plus que sympa.

Très joli lieu, reposant et dépaysant. On y mange une cuisine simple, faite avec de bons produits. Une très bonne pause gustative, dans un cadre verdoyant et accueillant.

Une expérience incroyablement belle et authentique lors de notre séjour d'une semaine chez Alexandre, aussi bien pour le logement, le restaurant, et les activités. Un havre de paix qui se fait rare sur Nosy Be. Merci encore!!

Un savoyard installé a nosy bé depuis 20 ans ça sait cuisiner tout bon !!!
