Ananta Bagan

This place was our refuge during the heat of dry season. The pool is very nice, but a little warm. The rooms are great. Free bikes? Yep. Scooters were a bit expensive. Food was great. Staff was as kind as kind could be. Happy hour mango cocktails? Winning at life. Would definitely stay here again

We stayed for three nights and had a great experience. The rooms were super clean, staff attentive and caring, and the setting beautiful and quiet. The concierge can book almost anything for you and even works hard to get you onto last minute balloon trips. Our breakfasts were above average for what we've experienced in Myanmar. The pool is wonderful, cool enough to be refreshing after a hot day in the pagodas. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to a friend.

Amazing experience. My wife and I stayed at the Ananta Bagan in January 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff was awesome and really made our experience feel special. They were kind, caring and considerate throughout our whole stay. The hotel itself is well located near the major temples and pagodas. They offer free bikes and very reasonable electric scooters for rent. The pool area is nice though it is a bit loud given it’s next to a busy street. My one complaint is that whole our shower looked great aesthetically it was not as functional as we would have liked as water gets all over the floor given its design. I would definitely stay at Ananta Bagan again if I’m ever in Bagan in the future.

Absolutely the best of the best service provided from this hotel. Huge rooms with bathtub and rain shower in the bathroom, very well equipped with all things necessary. Front desk service is excellent, always ready to help. Most can speak English very well. We arrived early at 6am, they provided complimentary breakfast and had us check in at 11am to rest. Breakfast served is plentiful, from breads and pastries, to salads and cold cuts with assorted cheeses, local snacks, rice and noodles, with an egg stand for omelettes. May choose poolside tables or indoor seating for warmer atmosphere. Poolside seating is great too, towel ready for any swimmer. Best was that our bus was 9pm, thus we were allowed go leave our luggage at the lobby and they even prepared us to shower at their spa rooms before leaving to the bus station. Nothing but only highest compliments to the hotel for their excellent service.

Only one night but beyond my Expectation. The room is spacious and well furnished. There was still space even with one extra bed. Pool is clean. Buffet breakfast ranging from traditional Burmese menu to European menu. I cannot leave the friendliness of staff and also flexible check-in time policy. It is really awesome. We used overnight bus for transportation to/from Yangon to Bagan and the Hotel arranged early check in and late check out for us. It was really convenience for! Next time, I will choose this hotel again.

AMAZING hotel. And what a great price also. The rooms were huge, and unique. The pool was great also, and breakfast every morning was brilliant. Best of all, the staff were the nicest out of anywhere i’ve stayed before. In fact, they went above and beyond for us. Even letting us have a late check out and sorting out all our transfers and excursions. Free bike rental was yet another perk.

Excellent hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool is great and there is a small fitness area (some weights and cardio machines) you can use. The staff is very thoughtful and friendly.

Bikes you can use for free and e-bikes are available for 10k/4hr or 15k/8hr.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The staff pay great attention to detail and are tremendously helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and look better in real life than they do in pictures. The entire hotel is full of great little details from thanaka and tamarind in the rooms, to complimentary hats and parasols. The restaurant has a good variety of dishes and while slightly towards the tourist price levels, it's affordable. Their tours are very reasonable too. I'd recommend anyone to stay here!

The rooms are nice, clean and relaxing. We loved to chill around the pool and drink some drinks there. The service was really good, they are very friendly and kind. Breakfast was good but no more. We would come again!

I would say that this is the best hotel in Bagan. Beautiful, great service and the restaurant has a really nice menu with both various Asian flavors and westerns in case you need a little taste of home (whenever you are from). Breakfast is really nice and multicultural.
The spa is worth booking, the Thai massage and the foot therapy are AMAZING but most of all priced well.

Stayed 3 nights in garden room 312 which was very big. 7 foot (2.1m) king size bed, big bathroom with bathtub & big separate rain shower. Complimentary mini-bar ( 2 beers and 2 Cokes daily), 4 bottles of 'eco' water daily, free Sun hats and little 'presents' at night.
Restaurants service could be improved slightly, but food was good enough and reasonably priced.
The hotels electric scooter with a 8 hour range cost kyat 15,000 or US $10 for 1 day which is plenty to view some of the 2000+ temples nearby.
Much better choice than the very old but complimentary bicycles!!

I have travelled through 36 countries. This hotel has made me feel more at home than some if the most famous 5 star hotels. The service with such pretty smiles and kind assistance is great. Even when they are learning they try their best with you. The rooms are fantastic, with complimentary mini bar and little things like a visit from staff at then down in the evening with insect repellent, a few snacks and a kind message. Well worth every cent and deserves a bit more maybe.

the bedroom, little park, restaurant are super comfy. the swimming pool was so good on the night cause they have swirl. service was super duper zuper nice and helpful. they can help us for everything we need. It's really worth to visit Bagan and stay at Ananta Bagan hotel. keep up the good work

This hotel was the perfect location to see as many temples as you want! It is not in the center of the crowded city of Nyaung-U or New Bagan but still within walking distance to a lot of restaurants. The pool was amazing, food was great, and everyday you get two free Cokes and two free beers replenished in your room. I will definitely stay at Ananta next time I visit Bagan.

Amazing service, clean, fresh, and comfortable. Great staff and the hotel restaurant has the best service and chef. Could eat here all day long. Wish we had more time to relax at this beautiful resort property.

The most amazing staff i have ever encountered, they are so lovely and kind and you can feel how kind they are, hotel is awesome, price is amazing room is huge and beautoful with balcony, pool is clean and great, the food was just amazing and cheap! Breakfast was okay, we had a slow Aircon but we were given extra small cooling unit, the shower design is flawed as water gathers on the flloor room 213.

They helped me a lot. All the staff were friendly. The room was nice and spacious and pleasant. I could relax my tired body in the bathtub. I also took a break from the pool. However, except breakfast.

The best. The staff are friendly and helpful. The whole mini bar in the room is complimentary. (See below) The breakfast is from 6 to 10 am, which allows us to take our time getting up from bed.

We arrived early at 6am to Ananta Bagan and the staff were immediately attentive, allowing us to check in early once a room was made available. We could also top up US$10 per pax for our breakfast there and the food was fantastic. We booked our sunrise tuk tuk (12k kyat) and full day eBike rental (15k kyat) through the hotel. Everything was conveniently done.

I was very happy with the service and the quality of the rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is in a good location with a decent little spa. If you are in Bagan I would suggest this place as good value for money.
