Novotel Taiping Perak

On checked in, my husband n friends were treated to coffee and biscuit for welcoming drinks which is very welcoming indeed. We were delightfully surprised to find a complimentary fruit platter in the room. Room was clean, spacious with enough amenities. Breakfast was delicious n varieties. We even extended half day stay as we couldn't finish exploring Taiping. Best stay here in Novotel Taiping.

My second time staying in this hotel and will always be my first choice of accommodation whenever I visit Taiping. The location is so strategic, within walking distance to the Taiping Lake Gardens and to so many eating places. Further it is adjoined to a mall and you can drop by for ice cream or snacks in the mall whenever you feel like having any of these food. The staff in Novotel are also very friendly and attentive. Love the atmosphere there.

We have been coming to Novotel Taiping since the first week it opened. Congratulations to the GM and the team because my room appeared as it did the very first day.
The bathroom (usually stained with mould stained grout) was clean and crisp.
The staff, though friendly, took a fairly long time to get our rooms. And we couldn't get a late check out immediately. We're here on a mission, and have just an hour more would have been helpful.
Overall, it's our go to whenever we visit family in Taiping.

Still the best hotel to stay in Taiping, smack in the middle of the downtown. The hotel is a high rise with great view of the city, the garden and the hills.

Great food surround the hotel, and within walking distance.

The hotel is sufficient. The room is spacious but cleanliness needs improvement.

Just that the parking is a pain having to climb so many floors before getting to the hotel's designated car park.

Nice view of the lake and mountain from the hotel premium room.
Better choose premium room than normal room because it is facing the lake.
Strategic location, nearby to mall, hawker center restaurant and shops.
Night time there is music from the hawker center but it stops around 11:30+
Sounds proofing not too good as can hear next door noise.

Lovely room. Possibly newly refurbished with Grohe taps & very discerning toiletry fragrance. I brought my own (as per the usual) but decided to use the hotel’s. Cant get enough of it.
However, the dark blue bath towels remind me pool towels. Stick to white, looks & feels plusher.
And lights-not enough to do proper reading.
And coffee-there’s none in the tray, only tea!!

For rm358/nite (with breakfast), it’s value for money!

First impression, exterior building looks normal, lobby is simple but stylish. Entering the lift, very spacious and clean

Otw to our room, the entrance was a hint of luxury combine with techie look but when we enter the room, it was wow.
Room was really clean, toilet was spacious and I absolutely loved the decor which has wood furnishing with combination of creative tech such as pull out lights in order not to disrupt sleeping room mates, led tv built in with black ceramic type frame which oozes luxury.

Kudos to whoever in charge of the interior. Toothbrush was made from wood which is different from others. You guys have a team of creative mind behind all these ideas.💡♥ Recommended hotel ✅✅

Breakfast buffet - RM35 for adult RM23 for senior citezen and children below 12 y , the variety of breakfast was around 15-30 dishes including soups and drinks all. The food was 3/5 and limited varieties. Overall enjoyed

This is probably the best hotel in Taiping. Despite being about 7 years old, the hotel looks brands new! Staff are welcoming, rooms are spacious and the food is surprisingly good. There’s also a gym, kids room and pool in the hotel. What takes this hotel to another level is the fact that it’s situated next to a mall (attached actually) and there’s a massive food court just across the lobby. This is the place to stay when in Taiping.

Had an upgrade to the room. Front desk ensured my requests during booking was met and I was very happy with the cleanliness and comfort of the room. Had a wonderful stay in Taiping because of Novotel.

Food also nice and have many varieties.
The yogurt is nice, especially when I made it as a sauce for fresh fruit slices.
Pool, haven't tried, but should be ok. Not an infinite pool, kinda old pool but still ok, with the view and the weather.

This hotel located at the heart of Taiping city centre. Surrounding have several restaurants that is within walking distance. Recommended to ask for higher floor room as the hotel is on the main road which traffic noise might be a problem.

It was a great break with the family at Novotel Taiping. We appreciate the welcome treat and decor in our room. The kids loves the balloons and the made-up dolls.

Good points:
-Staffs are polite and helpful (reception, restaurant, housekeeping all good)
-Free parking
-breakfast is very good
-room is spacious and clean
-provide drinking water in room
-Gym and kids room is nice
-room view is nice

-kids room kind of empty, may add more stuffs
-no bathtub to enjoy
-swimming pool looks old and dirty
-TV is outdated, if change smart TV able to login YouTube and Netflix account would be good for staycation
-Room has mini fridge bright blue light and smoke detector green light blinking all the time is annoying when we need to sleep to total darkness
-Soundproofing not good enough, I can hear noise in corridor and next room

We enjoyed our stay here.free breakfast with variety of food.the problem is with the lift.quite slow and need to take some time to get the lift.overall,will repeat this hotel when in Taiping.

The staff is very helpful! The gentleman of the bar always offer us a very pleasant welcome & did his best to prepare drinks & cake. He is worth a recommendation!

A really great hotel! Stayed with two other people and we slept comfortably. Place was also clean, and food during the breakfast buffet was very good too! Fresh and there’s a decent variety too. They even allowed us to takeaway coffee or tea back into our room!
Besides that, the hotel is really close to nice eateries as well as other attractions such as the Taiping Zoo and Lake Gardens!
Would recommend for small families who want to see the attractions of Taiping without burning too much petrol.
But I must say that the gym wasn’t too great. The equipment is very old and it’s stuffy inside. And it’s very small, so you would be very close to someone while doing your workout. Yeah not so great for that part.
But everything else was good!
