JOMAKAN Langkawi

This place operates here in the evenings (an indian buffet place is in the same space for breakfast and lunch). They've got one guy working hard over a wok and it can take a while for food to come out when they are busy, but everything we had was delicious. Highly recommend the tom yum soup - it is a different style than I'm used to. Very spicy and flavorful. Staff was very friendly, and it was a pleasant place to eat (apart from the 80s videos they play - amusing at first, but got old quickly).

This is by far the best meal I have eaten since my travels started 9 weeks ago today. A combination of Malaysian and Thai food @ this local village cafe. Great friendly service. Amazing authentic tasty food.

We came here one night, and since then we have come every single night. Food is incredible, you can tell they cook with love and with fresh ingredients. They also offer a lot of vegetarian options, and I really appreciate that, since sometimes it is difficult to find options for me. The staff is very nice and professional, and they enjoy their job, so the treatment to the clients was friendly and kind. Definitely the best restaurant we've tried in all of Malaysia so far! If I had to say something bad about this place, it would be that sometimes it takes a little long to get the food, but it is definitely worth the wait. You should really come here and enjoy this food experience.

Came here countless times cause all of the foods were so good especially the tender beef tomyam and extra crispy fried calamari. Their plus point is the price is budget-friendly even for locals as well. Please come if you’re in Pantai Chenang just google Tony’s corner. You may BYOB 😃

Hands down , the best dinner on my first day in Langkawi. Prices are very reasonable, friendly atmosphere and the food is yummy as.
The whole family enjoyed it. No regrets and a must visit when in Langkawi.

we had an amazing time at jomakan today. such a friendly atmosphere and a menu with extensive choice. me and my friends were served by the waiter ‘rain’ who made us feel so comfortable, greeted us with a smile and offered reccomendations based on what i dish i usually preferred. my friend is vegetarian and he accommodated to her requirements so well, swapping the meat dishes for tofu so she felt comfortable. the dishes we got were amazing and so cheap! i got chicken sambal, a friend got beef cika and my other friend got tofu thai curry, all of which were incredible. amazing food and service by waiter ‘rain’ here. recommend to all backpackers and tourists as well as locals. thank you from england 🏴??????🇬🇧

We were informed by our friend that this restaurant is listed as a must visit in Langkawi and definitely they were right. We went here for dinner and tried the amazing Cika, the smooth Cachua, the Kampung Soup and the Squid sambal (the best I have ever tasted after so many years), they were all well prepared and tasty. The sambal was in mid- range spicy which I guessed to suit the needs of many europeans patronizing here. Friendly server with a smile, the service is way above par for small restaurant like this. Well done to the team. Strongly recommend!!.

Probably my favourite restaurant in Langkawi. I tried a few things on the menu, but always went back to the sambol. The owner is so incredibly nice and the food is outstanding - definitely worth the wait during busy hours. The owner will happily adapt the food according to any dietary requirements. We ate here almost everyday during our stay in Langkawi. It was always a pleasure seeing and speaking to the owner

Also, during the day, it’s run by a different family. They offer a buffet style lunch service. This too was equally incredible and also run by a really nice team

Don’t judge a book by its cover! The shop is very small stall at the corner of Park Royal, the food is delicious, price very reasonable, presentation is tip top.

Fast service and really favorable food. I had the Tom Yum soup and the fried calamari and I tremendously enjoyed dinner. 10/10 recommend

I ordered the mixed vegetables and tom yam, and the food was very good, especially the seafood tomyam was incredibly nice. Very recommended.

Really delicious and tasteful food for a reasonable price! The staff was welcoming and communicative :) they offered to cook my dish meatless after I mentioned that I'm vegetarian. So I highly recommend and will definitely return! :)

A quaint roadside dining place with delicious flavours cooked to perfection. We are vegetarians, so the chef explained the menu options in detail (in English) and made a few custom dishes (with veggies instead of seafood) with different gravies - phat phrik; sambal; and finally a yummy fried noodles with mix veggies - all had a secret ingredient. Only that can explain the delicious flavours. Also enjoyed the juice and Vietnamese coffee. Very warm and friendly duo of chef and the server. The place is very clean and the food freshly prepared.

Very tasty and authentic food! People are super friendly, vegetarian options can be easily discussed since they speak perfect english. As a nice add on, you listen to the live music from across the street during your dinner.

Food is absolutely delicious and very cheap compared to other nearby places. During the 3 times we went there to have dinner, we always tried something else and loved it every single time. Congrats to the chef, and the team for the good service!
