Boerma Instituut International Floral Design School Holland

Just completed week 1 of 5 of the international Dutch Floral Design course at Boerma Instituut. Can't recommend it highly enough. Truly knowledgeable and professional staff. Great to be taught by owner Jacqueline Boerma and her son Mike. Also had some teaching from visiting tutor Syl. And last but not least, fantastic vegetarian food was prepared every day by the wonderful Dunja! Really hope I can go back later in the year!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent at Boerma Instituut. The tutors were outstanding (especially Mike!) and each provided their unique perspective to the design being studied. Having a variety of instructors was beneficial since each had a slightly different way of teaching which ensured all students understood. The class dynamic was incredible-students were friendly and supportive of each other and the staff encouraged and facilitated this positive and fun environment. The facilities were beautiful and welcoming and the design space gave each student plenty of room to interact and work in his or her own style. The lunch and snacks were always delicious- thank you Dunja! The Vegan Fridays were always a treat- thank you Anjelica! My home stay with Annie was phenomenal and we enjoyed many adventures together throughout Aalsmeer and the surrounding environs. The standards for the International Professional Diploma are very high and prepared me well for a career as a floral designer. Overall, the entire package at Boerma is inspiring for anyone who loves flowers. I treasure the friends I made there and experiences I had, and I look forward to returning for continued professional development.

I spent a week studying hand-tied and sympathy designs with the renowned Jacqueline Boerma, Irma Mus and Mark van Eijk and cannot thank them enough for their hospitality, encouragement and inspiration. The coffee shop IS a coffee shop with oodles of character, the food provided was more than substantial and to have wifi, my husband found it more than compensated, whilst I spent time learning my art. Ample parking, wonderful staff - can't wait to return. ;)

Dit afgelopen jaar heb ik mijn DFD gehaald. Ik kan deze opleiding zeer aanbevelen als je de basis technieken van het bloemistenvak wilt beheersen. De kennis en vakbekwaamheid van het Boerma Instituut gaat zo ver. Ik ben nog lang niet klaar en in de nabije toekomst kom ik terug om mijn ADFD te halen. Mocht je nog twijfelen of bloemen echt iets voor jou is? Volg dan eerst 1 van de Workshops Super leerzaam en gezellig en alles is zo goed verzorgd.

Er wordt heel goed les gegeven door de verschillende docenten, veelzijdigheid aan uitleg waardoor iedereen het snapt. Veel inspirerende workshops. Fijne gastvrije omgeving en heerlijke lunches verzorgd door Dunja! Top!

Bij Boerma instituut leer je niet alleen alle kneepjes van het vak, maar voel je je welkom en thuis, omdat iedereen er even vriendelijk en attent is.

Na maanden eindelijk weer een DFD clubavond was met de coronavirus-regels super te doen en weer erg Gezelli.... En altijd mooi bloemwerk. 🌸

Prije par godina proveli smo tjedan dana i bili prezadovoljni s gđom Jacqueline Boerma i njenim timom.Uvijek će nam ostati u predivnom sjećanju .
