Grand Hotel Opduin

Booked a night here due to its proximity to the water, shopping, and bike rental. Absolute highlight of our trip!
The rooms were cozy, the bed was very comfortable, the pool was a blast (lots of water toys that are fun for adults to mess around with), and the breakfast, I still dream about it. They had a full spread with breads, meats, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt (made with a local berry, amazing!!), fruit, and so much more, on top of fresh orange juice, a coffee bar, and champagne. I'm celiac (gluten-free) and felt comfortable with the options.
Everyone spoke perfect English so it made up for our questionable Dutch.

We’ve visited two years in a row and it’s honestly my favorite place to stay…ever? Great amenities, super kind and helpful staff, lovely bar area with a fireplace, and maybe my all time favorite hotel breakfast. 10/10 would recommend — I’m already dreaming of my trip back next year!

Very friendly staff, nice swimming pool and an amazing breakfast. All the communal spaces are beautiful, surrounded by nature and with a bust stop right in front.

Very cozy and beautiful hotel next to the beach, with indoor swimming pool, spa, bar, restaurant and gym. Include breakfast. Is possible rent a little house in the beach for keep you belongings and enjoy to the sea. Was a very nice experience, I really recommend this hotel!! Bring you own sleepers because the hotel does not offer sleepers. And I would love the bath ropes be bigger, but were the only things I did not like. Everything were almost perfect. I will come back because I enjoy a lot my holidays in Texel.

You get what you pay for at Opduin, I would recommend staying at this dune-side four-star without hesitation. The service was excellent and attentive, soliciting our party to make certain there wasn't anything more that could be done to enhance our stay. We had a double room, ample space for the two of us, and we made use of the surfside amenities, which includes cabana rental. The restaurant makes a decent dinner but breakfast was better. Two nights on Texel were dynamite on account of these lodgings.

The bed and the bathtub are super comfortable and you could just stay in them forever! The service and breakfast are also great. A bit far from the beach and the ferry only went hourly

In short: would definitely return if in Texel, recommendable and with nothing to complain about. The location is ideal, within walking distance to the beach and 2 blocks from the city center, so everything is within reach.
The hotel inside is surprisingly large, one of the most spacious lobbies and hang out areas I’ve seen in a hotel around the globe. The decoration is quite tasteful and everything feels modern and non-worn out.
The breakfast is tasty, varied enough, and gets replenished often.
The swimming pool is well designed, with a few different areas (deep and a few cm) so it can catter for all ages.

Amazing hotel. Perfectly located. Everything is in great conditions. Staff is attentive and courteous. Loved the facilities. And the sunset views you get from your room are unforgettable!

We recently booked the Winter Warm Up package and spent an absolutely lovely overnight at Opduin. I really can't say enough positive things about this place... I was initially a little put off by the out of date looking building, but rest assured it is completely, expertly, fashionably renovated! We got upgraded to a very spacious room with a view of the dunes. We dined in the restaurant which was fantastic and their breakfast really is impressive. The winter warm up package was fantastic value for money and I encourage you to re-think Texel in the winter, it was cozy and deserted of tourists... exactly what we were looking for. The private hour in the spa and the massage chair was the absolute cheery on top! Highly recommend.

Beatiful hotel on a dune, amongst the dunes. We had a room looking out on the dunes and the Waddenzee, was magic. Our dinner was superb, beautiful seabass with prawns and a lambshoulder with a lovely sauce and fresh vegies. But the entré was enough for me already, lots of seafood, meats or vega. It was all freshly made and so tasteful. Yes, we certainly will return next year. My birthday was celebrated at a great spot!

Wonderful hotel! Cosy, stylish and the staff is very kind. The food in the restaurant is delicious!!! The beach is only a few hundred metres away (5 minute walk). I love staying there!

Good clean rooms, location is excellent, helpful staff. It has a swimming pool, Gym etc. Overall exceeded my expectations.

Wonderful place for family vacations. Cosy rooms, very good food: fresh pancakes for breakfast, simple buffet for lunch, gastronomic dinner. Nice terrasse and swimming pool. Minutes from the beach through the dunes.

Breakfast buffet was fantastic with very nice lady staff at the kitchen, private sauna was very good offer and so relaxing,near by the beach just perfect, the room was ok, for me the kettle water cooker and coffee machine is better empty than you keep water in is not so hygienic because we do not know how long the water already in there, the rest is fine.

Everything was really good. The crew were really friendly and accessibility was great.the hotel facilities such as break fast ,bar,swimming pul and sauna were really good.and it was really clean 😊

Everything about this place is high quality. The rooms, the food, the service. I had a wonderful time here back in december 2016.
