Shivajatta is a natural resource centre of north east Dharan. It is one of the major sources of supply of drinking water to BHKIHS, Dharan , and surrounding locality of Dharan. It is located just below to the south of Namje Village, one of the major tourist attraction centres of Dhankuta district.
Shiva Jatta is famous for just 2-4 hours hiking. The place provides scenic beauty especially in autumn. During summer and rainy seasons , the hikers can enjoy the melody of flow of Seuti River along with the chirping of birds.
Though the area is famous for hiking, the facility of hotels and tea houses are still to be developed.

A nice place to visit for a short hike. It's generally 2 and a half hours trek from Bhanu Chowk and is a fascinating place.

Spectacular view of the water fall. Slippery stairs, be careful while climbing. It's one of the drinking water resource, so please don't make the area dirty. Every time we visit the site, we clean the area. Expecting same form our visitor friends.
Relatively cold atmosphere.
Kalimati village lies nearby where the children spend more than 4 hours to go the nearest school and come back to home. Support them in any means necessary, if you can.

It's a very nice place with a gorgeous waterfall added with serene surroundings and a Shiva temple. Perhaps this waterfall is the origin of Sawati river which flows east of Dharan city. These pics of small waterfall is of Bhalu khola which is on the way to Shiva jatta.
