Ashok is the best tour guide I’ve ever had.. I now consider him to be a great friend. Knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, fun and empathetic to everyone’s needs. What a phenomenal tour it was, and joy to be in his company for 14 days trekking to Everest Base Camp!

It’s been almost five months since I came home from Nepal, but a day hasn’t pass without thinking back and longing for the time spent there. It was a wonderful experience for me and I was grateful for every moment : I admired the people, the smile on their faces, the humbleness and love in their hearts, the way they lived their everyday life, the way they used their monumental buildings, I miss the demanding sculptures and woodwork, the chaotic-like traffic, the overloaded roads, the magnificent mountains, the holy places, the terraces built with really hard work, the carved stone houses, the blue rooftops, the unheated rooms, the modest accommodations, the ginger-lemon-honey tea, the dal bhat, the prayer flags blown by the wind, the porters carrying enormously big packages, the loaded yaks with their singing bells around their neck, the rhododendron woods, the dusty handles for climbers…there is not enough space for writing down everything what inspired me and gave me a lifelong experience.

Thank You, Ashok! for being such a wonderful guide, thank you for telling us about Nepal, Kathmandu and Bakhtapurs history, Buddhism, Hinduism, the kings and buildings, about life and death, the mountains, people, traditional dishes. If I could I would go back tomorrow. I’m hoping we can meet in this life once again and a lot of climbers will decide to travel to Nepal and to experience the beauty of it.
