personal favourite picnic spot for families to relax, unwind, sit and walk around (i personally find it waaaayyyy better than lake view park)

activities for almost all age groups including play-hurdles, swings, slides, bridges, jumping castles (for adults too), trampoline, horse riding, mini zip line, pirate ship and so much more.
can get overcrowded at times.
very limited eating options (advised to take your own snacks/food with you)

Visited the Japanese Children Park in Islamabad and had a delightful experience! The park's serene ambiance, well-maintained play areas, and thoughtful Japanese design create a perfect blend of fun and tranquility. This park can be rated as is Best Park Of twin City . Excellent facility. Picnic Area is Good. Number of visitors speaks of it's popularity. Themes r excellent. A world standard facility . By increasing standard of maintenance we can make it outstanding

Beautiful park for families. Kids can enjoy rides. They can have fun comfortably with all available facilities. Families can do bar b q, walking , jogging etc.

Nice place to visit with kids and family.. it offers free entry and peaceful environment.. there are many playgrounds with different outdoor physical activities for kids..

When there after a long long time. Refreshed my own childhood memories. This park is a gift from the people of Japan for the children of Pakistan. Lush green lawns, beautiful treks, excellently maintained plantations.

I have always loved to visit Japanese since I was a school kid. Glad to see it's repaired again and people take their children there. Entry is free for the public. I wish people wouldn't litter the place and don't write on tree trunks and leaves.

This is a lovely park in the heart of Islamabad. Places for children to play. And really a quiet place to surround yourself in nature. I went in Winters and recommend it to everyone to visit atleast once.

The brightly colored play area is a wonderland of swings, slides, and climbing frames, guaranteed to keep little ones entertained for hours. There's even a dedicated picnic space, perfect for spreading out a blanket and enjoying a delicious homemade meal under the warm Pakistani sun.

Here are some of the things I loved most about the park:

The peaceful atmosphere: The park is a welcome escape from the喧嚣of the city, offering a serene oasis for relaxation and rejuvenation.

The beautiful landscaping: The meticulous care given to the gardens and greenery is evident at every turn, making the park a visual feast.

The family-friendly facilities: The play area is a paradise for children, while the picnic space provides the perfect setting for family gatherings.

Japanese Park is one of the most beautiful parks in the city. It is an amazing place due to its natural beauty, weather and its location.
The park is located at the border of Margalla Hills at sector E-6, near to Dino Park and opposite to sector F-6.
It is a perfect place to visit with family and kids because almost every type of amusement facilities available for kids. Its long walking trails are best for running, jogging and cycling. It have a large number of seesaws, sandpits, swings, slides and climbing frams for kids.
Its lush green lawns and tall trees gives a cenimatic views especially at morning and evening. A large number of seating benches have been installed in the park to facilitate the visitors.

Don't pay for parking just park by the entrance and walk.

Visited after a lot many years! Used to be a regular visitor when I was young and the park was new! Am surprised that park is in quite a good condition. All swings that were the hall mark of the park are in working condition albeit with localised repairs which is encouraging to see!

I would like that everyday swings that are at the margins of park and are charged should be discouraged and park be solely used for its original purpose: Enjoyment with physical activity!

Picnic tables are available all arnd the park which afa I recall weren’t there in the 90s so that a good addition. Currently the park entry and parking is free. Although I think both shud be marginally charged to keep the visitors responsible! Thgh this shud not become a hindrance to a peaceful visit. Also some management of parking is needed as it was quite messy! CDA shud depute some staff for that.

Some repairs are ofc needed which shud be done and regular maintenance shud also be done like maintenance of sand arnd the swings etc.

Also Ideally shud have some joint venture of some local Pak company and the original Japanese providers of these swings to do the needful maintenance and replacement of many that are in failing condition. CDA spends millions in useless project, so investing in this won’t be a big deal!

Clean and well maintained. Sundays are busy. No good food options. Fun for children. Most slides etc are suitable for ages 5+

One of the best and largest physical activity theme park in Islamabad. Cafeteria is small but you can get basic things like snacks, drinks, tea etc. Best part is the entrance charges which are very nominal 20 PKR for adults and 10 PKR for kids (under 5 are free). Restrooms are also available for ladies and gents separately. Park has been maintained reasonably well but trash can be seen on grass, people need to consider throwing their trash in the respective bins instead of grass. The park also have various types of swings, slides etc that specially attract children. Overall an excellent place for kids and family for a day out, beautiful location and peaceful environment.
