Absolutely fabulous restaurant at great prices.
Fish is top notch. Here pictured is the Fish Kebab and the Grilled salmon.

Great sized portions and unbelievable flavour.

We luckily booked so I suggest the same as it was full the night before we went.

A go-to place in the future for a great setting and amazing food and service.

As a local's opinion, it was a really nice lunch. Always wanted to come here, because it has this amazing view over Alvor's Ria. It should be amazing at late afternoon as the sun sets on the other side. We have asked for the dish of the day, as it was fried squids and they were superb. Tasty and, not too fried nor too raw. We were asked as if we prefered boiled or fried potatoes; we asked for the boiled ones and they came with the skin on - nice touch for the extra flavour. The waiters were very friendly all the time and when asked let us eat outside (we brought our dog) with no issues at all. According to the posters outside on they also provide live music: New Orleans Jazz on Sundays from 8pm (5€, reservation needed), Fado (tradicional portuguese music) on Tuesdays at 8:30pm (3€, reservation needed). Good experience. I will definitely come back to see the sunset here while enjoying an early dinner.

Great fresh fish!
Really close to many other but at a much more affordable price. The fish will was one of the best I've had in a long time. The authentic fresh grilled fish. A nice view to the ria goes along nicely with the meal.

I have been to Alvor for over a decade on vacations and this is by far my favourite place to have dinner.
The views are the best you will find and it’s hidden away from all the chaos so it’s still not as busy as the rest of the places nearby.
The employees are extremely nice and always able to point you to the freshest tastiest option in the menu for the day!
Make sure to try it around sunset!

Nice restaurant with good views. Got a lovely meal of fried fish fillet. Quick serving, tasted good and the dish was warm at serving. Caring servants focusing on whether you are doing well. I recommend/Ole, Denmark 🇩🇰

Wonderful restaurant with great background music (jazz when I was there). Menu of the day was octupus. Waiters were extremely attentive and polite. Loved every minute and the view is so peaceful.... Reasonably priced.

We've been here a few times over the years and it never fails to please. Last night we had seafood pasta - delicious! Service was attentive but not "in your face" and the house with excellent.

Absolutely beautiful! Seafood risotto with razor clams and the back drop of the marina, outstanding service from start to finish, definately worth a visit we will be back again for sure! Obrigada O Navegador! 😀

We had an amazing food and music experience here last night. We booked a table for 7pm and we had the pleasure of listening to a live jazz/blues band, Dixie Kings. Service was top class, really friendly and helpful. Food delicious. If you're heading to Alvor, this place is a must. But be sure to book on Sinday evenings to get a good seat to beee near the band.

Location 10/10. Baked Octopus 10/10. Most importantly...... when neighbouring restaurants were messy and under staffed, O Navegador gave us great service and hospitality! Would recommend the evening ninning g

went there twice last week. second visit last Friday they cooked the fish we had just caught 😁
