Santa Isabel

My partner and I were referred by José at Quinta de Coalhos and the food was incredible. We shared our dishes and neither of us could decide which was better. The service was good and the owner was very nice, conversed with every table and showed genuine concern that we enjoyed our time and dinner. Definitely recommend eating here at least once. I would go back just to try something else for sure!

An absolutely fantastic meal at the Isabel. In fact, one of the nicest dining experiences I have had. Very comfortable surroundings, excellent food, superb wine, all with very friendly and relaxed service.
The restaurant even kindly collected me prior to the meal as I was staying just outside Abrantes.. and arranged to take me back afterwards.

Superb - cheese and presunto, the best Açorda I have eaten yet and incredible chocolate mousse.

The best meal in two weeks of travelling around Portugal! The food was spectacular. We had octopus, shrimps and pork — each dish was exceptional.

The service is a little confused, but food and atmosphere compensate for it.

That restaurant alone is worth a detour to Abrantes!

Fantastic dining experience with such an inspiring chef. He surprised us with local specialties including red wine from the region. All side dishes were delicious. I fully recommend this place to everyone.

Authentic Portuguese restaurant with a passionate owner. We shared 2 dishes (octopus and porc) between 3 enjoying every bite. When you´re near Abrantes it´s worth the detour (make sure you make reservations because there wasn´t a single table available after us).

The meal was excellent from start to finish, but the highlight was the octopus. I've never had octopus done so well. The owner speaks french & portuguese (obviously) and is an excellent host if you get a chance to chat with him.
