Coudelaria Alter do chão (acesso)

We visited in June. The mares had foals at foot and we’re lovely to see close up in a big open barn. There were also lots of lovely stallions in stalls. The falconry was also great to visit. We felt however that although the historical journey was very interesting there was relatively little actual time viewing and being close to the horses. We had expected more insight into some of the handling and training of the young and performance horses. I imagine the annual horse sale in April is worth seeing. The actual Alter Real Lusitanos are magnificent.
