Sea Natives Surf Camp

Spent a week here with the family. Well run and organised. Plenty of fresh healthy food. Staff are very helpful and professional, everyone can't do enough to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Special shout out to Sam and Julia, the owners, who really make an effort to ensure everyone is looked after, it really is a family run camp. It's cold at night so bring a jumper, and very kid and family orientated. Great job guys, we'll be back. Restaurant Panorama is a great option for dinner on the free night, but good idea to book if you're going in high season.

A beautiful camp with a bit of a festival vibe without being pretentious, warm and welcoming hosts and staff, delicious healthy food, a beautiful beach in walking distance, yoga in the pine forest, surfing while the kids are playing on the beach and sleeping in a comfortable bed to the sounds of the waves. I couldn’t imagine a more relaxing vacation. Thanks again :)

Our whole family of four had the most memorable stay with you at the camp, thank you! Perfect setting for relaxing, meeting new people, learning surfing, skating, doing yoga and simply enjoying life. So much thought is put into everything to make it a great stay for everyone. All four of us, including our two boys (6,9) really enjoyed the surfing lessons. Although we did not use the kids animation group, it was really impressive to see how well organised they were, allowing both parents/single parents to take part in activities. We don't camp much, but found the camp tipis really big and comfy. The food was amazing and always in abundance! Desert was fantastic :) Thank you so much dear Julia, Lara, Eric, Rezi, Tim, Roy, Johny & the whole team!!!

I'm glad to call this place my second home and I'll be always coming back as much as I can! The best place for both families and individuals, or friends (or everyone) to just come chill, learn how to surf, skate, do yoga, enjoy the camp vibes and have the best time!

Great place for staying, surfing, skating, and meeting new people. Very kids friendly. Fantastic food that is freshly made every day.

You need to like the camping ground lifestyle (walk 100m to wash your hands, shared toilets and showers etc.)

Delicious and healthy food, super comfortable and spacious tents, very friendly staff and many activity offers to spend active holidays but still with enough relaxation in between (skate mini ramp, surf classes, yoga, massage, kids animation and kids nanny care).

The location of the campsite is perfect: The large tents are hidden in a beautiful sandy campsite full of pine trees and only a few walking minutes from the beach "Praia da Tocha". At the beach you have a nice selection of Bars, Restaurants and e delicious coffee, waffle & ice-cream place.

We plan to come back from now on every year :) Thank you Sea Natives Team!

Returning home from Sea Natives Surf Camp and feeling relaxed, refreshed & recharged, healthy and happy - we can’t recommend this place enough!
Julia & Sam and the whole team were amazing - very well organized, super friendly and always helpful.
Our 4 year old could have not enjoyed it more hanging out with Nia and other kids all day long and exploring the campsite.
The beds in the tipis were a completely new and pleasant experience for us and the food was always fresh and really tasty (also for vegetarians and vegans).
We will be back for sure! Thank you for the great experience!

Such an authentic and fun place, the staff was super friendly and professional, the tents super comfortable and clean, the bar had very accessible prices and many activities every evening - besides the daily surf and yoga lessons. Met a lot of likeminded people and had a great time in the nature. Thanks Julia and Sam for having us there!

This is a must experience. Not only for your kids as a way to appreciate the simplicity and joy of spending time in a camp and community, but to the parents and adults, who have a chance to go back in time and remember what it is like to be a kid again. Everything about Sea Natives is centred on building a close community. Bringing people together. Sharing the effort, joining in. The food was amazing, something different every day, fresh, healthy and made with love. It really was food for the soul. The surf instructors made sure that you were there to learn, but also enjoy the moment. But what I miss most as I write this from back in the 'real' world, are the friendships, and the extended family feeling which Sam & Julia have so lovingly nurtured. This you can't just provide. It takes true heart and intention to build a community, a home, which is shared with people who appreciate this simple expression of life. I can't not see myself making Sea Natives Surf Camp part of my, and my family's annual awesome sauce holiday for the soul :)

Cosy camp with nice people and very close to the Beach. I had surf and skate lessons with great instructors. The food was amazing. The prices were fair. I have nothing to complain about, except for bad luck with the weather at the beginning of my stay.

We stay in July 2021 and had so much fun. The surf lessons were great especially for kids - my seven year old stood up on day 1. Food was amazing, all handmade and lots of vegan options even on BBQ night. The tipi was comfortable and we slept really well. We also loved the mini skateboard ramp - the guys spent time with my son and helped him learn to drop in. Entertainment was either super chill songs around the campfire or a very lively pub quiz. Really nothing to fault at all. We will go back!

We had a wonderful week at Julia and Sam's Sea Natives Surf Camp, as a family with 3 kids (ages between 4-9). Great surflessons for kids and adults at different levels, cool skatelessons from Sam, really nice healthy food, lovely international crew, entertaining activities during the evening, nice interaction with other families. We loved every minute of it! We will be back.

Delicious atmosphere for me and my family. The staff is very friendly, professional and welcoming for everyone - Which is extremely important when learning to surf. Tents are very nice with comfortable beds, and to wake up to the sound of the ocean is so great... My son loved it and if we can, we’ll go again :)

Spent one week in the camp with my small child. We had a lot of fun and a great time. The crew is lovely, the food was delicious and I enjoyed every second I spent in the ocean. Sending a big thank you to everyone in the camp!

Amazing Camp!!
The camp is located in a small, authentic Portuguese beach town. The crew is amazing creating a very personal atmosphere! The surf lessons take place in small groups allowing to individualize the coaching, and there are a lot of opportunities for sporty activities next to surfing …restoring yoga, skating, running at the beach. Delicous food that is bought from local producers and of great variety also for vegetarians. Super family friendly camp and 100% recommended.

This surfcamp had such a nice and homily atmosphere! I met so many great and friendly people there.
The staff was always helping, if I had questions and was cooking such a nice dinner!
Especially the activities in the evening made people really connect with each other and created many laughters and friendships: “pub quiz-night”, “cocktail-night”, “movie-night” and “slide-show” of the pictures taken during the week were my highlights!!

One of the best vacations I've had in a long time. I travelled there with a friend of mine, we are both 23. The surf conditions were perfect for both beginner and intermediate.

But.. most importantly.. the crew working at Sea natives is what took this experience to another level!! Even though I only stayed there for 1 week i was very sad leaving the place and the "family". I would recommend to everyone, both for families and young people :)

It was an amazing stay at Sea Natives. We stayed in a private tipi. The tent has everything you need. The beds were very comfortable. So after a chill night around the campfire with delicious drinks and friendly people you could dream away.
