If you're ever in Santa Comba dao, come to this traditional food little restaurant. The food is delicious and the wine is of a great quality, prices are just incredible and the hosts are super friendly.

This is a restaurant not to be missed if you are visiting Santa Comba Dão.
The ambience is simple and down to earth. They are open for lunch every weekday but not always for dinner. They open very early in the day and serve a lot of as takeaway. The food is really delicious and the owners (man and wife) are so eager to help and welcoming that you feel you belong there as a cherished customer from the very start. Don’t be put off by its fame as a recommendation for tourists - you’ll see that it is also very much patronized by the locals (even cats at the sitting area on the narrow street outside… as in the photo)

A range of regional dishes on offer. Not so much for vegetarians. Quality of the food is fantastic. The slow cooked mutton is very slow cooked, meat falling apart. The veal chunks are cooked just right, juicy and meaty. Good value. Really nice people, very friendly and patient with tourists.

Always fab, the price is € good, the food is good, a bit busy but it's a good indicator.

Great food.

Comemos como entrada, bola de carne , azeitonas, broa, orelheira na gralha, petinga (sardinha pequenina), tudo delicioso.
Depois os pratos foram, chanfana com salada e batata cozida, e ainda secretos na brasa com batata a murro e migas.
Deliciosa comida, caseira, muito bem condicionada. A simpatia cativante dos proprietários é restante funcionário, cinco estrelas.
Também serve para fora, tudo na grelha.

Toda a envolvente é mágica, Santa Comba Dão, tem nesta casa a sua embaixadora gastronómica. Nunca falha!
A comida é preparada como em nossa casa, a matéria prima é de grande qualidade, o atendimento é agradável e de uma simpatia extraordinária.
As doses são generosas e tudo, mesmo tudo o que se aqui come é bom!
Depois do almoço, desça a rua e aprecie o passadiço junto ao rio.
