Just got back from an awesome morning SUP tour with Carlos. We were 3 complete beginners and had never been on a paddleboard before. Carlos is a great teacher and I wasn't long before we were all happily paddling along.
The places we visited were beautiful. Such a fantastic tour.

Have done a SUP tour with Carlos and definitely we can tell he is an expert, he thought about everything (whether, teaching, photos and fun)
On the way back to the shop we realised they have a nice coffe bar at the front, where we got breakfast, the nicest homemade granola and yogurt. Carlos wife was at the surf-shop and she helped us with our shopping.
Also you can have an healthy poke bowl with fresh ingredients.
Definitely worth it to try.

Carlos is great! Very friendly great customer service. I left a used board at his shop for him to sell for me on consignment. He was able to sell my board at a fair price, and sent me the money right away. I would recommend and trust this shop if you need the same.

Hands down the best surfshop in Portugal. Board Rentals: perfect, Surfskates: super, Equipment: epic, Everything else: best!. Trust me, don´t look anywhere else, this is the best place around. They help you out whereever they can - you will love it!

Carlos and his wife run an wonderful small surfshop and surf school close to the surf beach. So you can just grab a board and suit and be in the waves in zwei minutes.
They are super nice, helped my wife and me to find out which boards to take for the conditions and described which places at the beach would be best to catch and what the be cautious for (which is not much, just a small current close to the pear).
So, you should definitely check out this place!

P.S.: In the surf shop there is a café and restaurant where you can grab an amazing coffee and enjoy a great poké bowl after your session :-)

We had a lovely lunch at the shop. Poke bowl and açaí bowl. Very friendly and cool staff. Outstanding service Loved it.

We rented a couple of paddleboards and Carlos was really helpful explaining how everything worked, and even gave us a quick lesson.
Prices are also very competitive and the bowls from their poke place next door are quite delicious as well (especially after a half a day of paddleboarding).

I bought a suit online. Very easy online communication and very honest trustworthy people. Definitely recommend!

Beside of the well equipped surf shop and selected cloths collection, the Poké Bowls with its own recipe and high quality are amazing. A big plus is the friendly staff all time.

Best surf shop in the area! It’s a one stop shop for everything. They have a newly opened poke bar and the food and juices are super fresh and tasty. There’s good wifi so you can work remotely too. We rented surf boards, body boards and wet suits - all for reasonable prices. We also did a standup paddleboard tour with the owner Carlos - he takes you to beautiful spots that are off the beaten track so aren’t crowded with tourists. Plus he was flexible with the tour time so that we were able to go, which we really appreciated. The whole team is super friendly and helpful and we always felt welcomed! Would definitely recommend it!

Rented surfboard for 3 days , very good and friendly service. Quality boards, all sizes and levels available. Close acces to the beach. Nice shop, also in addition there is a nice pokebowl bar that comes with the shop. Would recommend, and would return if i ever come back to portimao

This place was a food highlight for me and my boyfriend while staying in playa da Rocha. Excellent coffee (we're a bit a bit spoiled with the quality of coffee shops in London). Amazing and fresh poke!!! that comes in super big portions :)

Super cool shop - great selection of clothing, surf gear and services such as board rentals, surf lessons and surf trips. The store has quality stuff so the prices are a little higher than other shops but totally reasonable and also justifiable. This is the best surf shop that i saw while in the Algarve.

The owner was really nice and friendly, talked with us for a long time and also made great recommendations for the rest of our trip. I was a bit sad that i didn't buy anything from him. He's a great guy.

Great shop with exceptional service. As a beginner, I rented a surf board and a wetsuit (15€ altogether for 3h) from them. The guy from the shop (owner?) was awesome. Before lending the board and the wetsuit to me, he went with me to the beach to check if waves were even ok. Then I got a quick 5min-introductory/refresher course of the most important things to consider while surfing and a freshly prepared board...can it get any better than this?
Also worth going there if you just want to shop - great selection of clothes, shoes and accessories. They apparently also offer tours.

The best surf shop and rent we have ever visited. The servise was perfect and very polite, helpful and nice. Prices are very good and the boards we have rented had good quality. You can also get information about weather, waves and the best time to surf on a day. Everything perfect. We will come back next year for sure!!!

This was my 3rd time doing a stand up paddle tour with Rocha Surf Shop, I couldn’t recommend them highly enough, Carlos and his team are brilliant. Great equipment, knowledge and beautiful landscapes all around. 5 stars!

Phenomenal Experience!

Rented some SUPs with two mates and the staff were nothing but helpful. Let us take the SUPs to a close beach, and were very easy going with all the set up. They gave us some great tips on where to get the best SUP experience. I would recommend that everyone check them out for anything you need surf related!

You always get good service in the store and we had a wonderful experience on the SUP tour with Carlos. We got to know some hidden beaches only accessible via the water and we had a lot of fun. Definitely recommend it!
