Restaurante O Malhão

Decided to try this restaurant as similar to Preto in Uk. My impressions nice relaxed and calm, the service was fantastic and friendly, the food was superb, they offer many options but the rodizo was the best. We were a party of 5 and we left feeling fed. The quality did not suffer and was a great night out for us all.
Wheelchair access and on one level.

We have been coming to Burgau for 25 plus years but never to O Malhao as it always seemed to be a quiet locals place that was just not “on the map” for holidaymakers.

I have to say that this evening’s experience has confirmed that it is almost a “must visit” as the meat was plentiful and delicious and for my other half, the non meat (fish / salad and plenty of it) was also in abundance.

We will return!

But more needs to be said of Restaurante O Malhão.
Everyone, from the moment you walk through the front door, through the entire sitting to when you go to 'pague a conta' is helpful, pleasant and informative.
The food is fresh, succulent and presented with pride.
Every single dish, and we tried most of them, was better than any similar dish we had tried anywhere.
Whoever is responsible for the cooking and serving of the rodízios at Restaurante O Malhão deserves a Noble Prize.
They have shown the utmost of respect to all the ingredients and then served up the most tender and succulent fare to their customers.
Today the place was full of Portuguese but I assure that any smart foodlover no matter where they are from would include this place on their "must eat at" list.
We pass on our greatest thanks to all the staff from the two young men at the front of house, the 'jovem brasileiro' that served the rodízio and all the back of house kitchen staff for making our lunch one THE best we experienced in Portugal.
Finally, the buffet is an A1+ quality, value for money meal but I suggest you fast the day before going there and opt for the BBQ option which takes a meat-centric meal to entirely different level for only a few more dollars.

Such an amazing place. It may look inconspicious from the road, but it’s definitely worth going. Cheerful owner Roberto offers 2 ways to eat. First of them is classic buffet self service, the second one is buffet self service but with brasilian grilled meat (really worth trying). Beside that they serve lunch by midday. Brasilian drinks are also available. Definitely you should visit this restaurant.

This place is great! I hadn’t eaten this well at a restaurant for a long time. Good, abundant and well served Brazilian food. Price is very good.
Will definitely go back before the end of my holidays.

So good place to eat pizzas! Very big and good price. Staff is so friendly and speaking english . Come and try it ! If you don't mind they offering homemade butter,humus,bread and sardine patte. But on the bill they are priced each 1.5€ so 6€ in total. We were unlucky when we went to smoke they brought this and put on the table. We thought it's for free ;) but yes apart this everything is good. Worth to try food

Fresh salads, charcuterie, amazing hot dishes. Best Portuguese food and value in the west Algarve.

Absolutely superb dinner, drinks and atmosphere.
Buffet style, with plenty of meat, fish & salads, at really affordable price.

A must for meat eaters is the table service meat buffet, where meat is carved at your table, brought out on large kebab style servers. Staff friendly, and helpful and you know a great restaurant when most of customers local.
Will definitely be eating here again before we go home.

We went there for dinner because of the very good reviews on google and because there aren't many restaurants in this area (we didn't want to go by car to Luz or somewhere else).
We haven't been disappointed! The staff is so friendly, the food is super fresh and the prices are very cheap for what you are getting. We had the "normal" buffett and the choices are more than enough. Everything was fresh and tasted really good. Totally recommended!!

Some awesome young men from Brazil and Argentina run a buffet and the meat is amazing. The guys coming around with the meat are all friendly. The garlic seasoned meat is delicious, the other cuts are juicy and scrumptious.
If you’re ever in Lagos area, drive or take an Uber or Bolt or local taxi. We were staying across the street at Dona Maria and easily walked over. I left in a food coma . Wish I had taken pics to share but we were so into the food that I completely forgot.

Wow. Had a long bike ride in the morning, according to my Garmin I burned over 2500 calories, this was just the place to replace them. The all you can eat buffet plus the grilled meat, which was fantastic several different cuts all cooked spot on. Not the cheapest around but well worth it.

Buffet menu is 13 eur and red wine sangria is very well

We've been there twice already during our stay and about to go a third time. The pizza tastes really good and the dough is made in front of you. Everyone is really friendly. Top tip!

Exceptional home made pasta and pizza! Top ingredients used, always fresh. A fabulous restaurant that's welcoming to everyone. Its much more than a pizzaria, it has fabulous fish dishes too. We live near by and consider this restaurant our local gem. Open until 00h00 too!!

Weiters come to the Table and serves different meats. Also all U can eat..

Initially I gave them two stars...

...I might have given them a higher rating if I'd had had the cash to buy food. They don't accept credit cards, and the one ATM in town was not working. This evening I will find a restaurant that accepts credit cards, or I will starve.

Later that day, the ATM was fixed, and my cash supply was refreshed. We went to Xaboita for dinner, and just beat the evening rush. A bottle of wine, salads, and pasta dishes were most satisfactory. The service was friendly and attentive. I hereby raise the rating from 2 to 4 stars.

After 2 more visits, I hereby give them five stars. The staff are lovely, good atmosphere, good food. Just bring cash!

The best Brazilian BBQ. A hidden gem that so few know about. An unassuming place that will pleasantly surprise you. You start your meal with a excellent buffet of salads, meats and vegetable dishes then the meat starts. They bring skewers of brasilian meats one after another until you give up, literally. And omg, it's so good. A great place for an amazing meal. One to experience.

Family run great value and now open on Mondays!

We had a very great dinner, with lovely cocktails And perfect meat. Very friendly staff and good prices. This vacation we’ll visit this Place often. 😍
