Amazing staff and experience. The rooms were clean and comfy, the surf instructors are patient and kind, very encouraging. Tons of activities during the week that you can participate. All the gym equipment you need is there for you to use, it is a truly unique experience overall. Delicious and fresh food every day, I can’t recommend this place enough!

IMHO, a place as close as it gets of paradise. The premises are absolutely gorgeous and certainly elicit a sense of privilege. Which is cool, but nothing like the wave of gratitude that overwhelms you once you taste one of the many chef’s special (big up to the Tacos night) . The staff is particularly kind and definitely helpful, totally in line with the surf instructors. To supersede everything, the bowl is incredibly fun and the workout area is surprinsigly well equipped and is a nice place to hang out as well. Many thanks to the team, I’ll definitely come back ((:

Just returned from a week of surf and yoga and can’t recommend enough. The whole experience was fantastic. Staff were attentive and welcoming. There were heaps of activities to get to know others and the surf lessons are instructors were knowledgeable and really helpful. Paulo was my instructor and make the experience an unforgettable one! 10/10 would recommend!

Great atmosphere, Great location. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. The surf instructors were all very Passionate and professional. Altough some of the excursions and consumables are a bit higher priced. You have everything you need at the camp.
If you want to learn how to surf I would highly recommend this place.

Overall experience was 5 stars! From booking to checkout, everything has been great or above. We was in the surf course and we had so much fun, met a lot of nice people, and got to experience some culture as well.

I had a great time here, as a surfer in my late 40s I was travelling solo but there was loads of friendly people to chat to. Liliana was especially helpful and all the bar guys were super nice. Felix and Kate the social team were great and very helpful with info and some fun evenings. Well designed camp, GREAT views, good food and lovely breakfast with gluten free options. Plus the waves were cranking!

It is a surfing camp. Most of the people are 20-25 years old, and stay for 1 week (but you can stay for more). It is a high-end hostel experience. You get a room and a free breakfast every day. For lunch you can buy food at the bar, and the food is actually really good and not expensive (15 euro the most expensive dish, 8 euro for a sandwich which is enough for lunch). All the alcohol is also at the bar and at extra cost. The activities and dinner are at extra cost and are organized on a week by week basis. So every Sunday you have tacos dinner, every Monday is curry dinner, skating and beer pong tournament etc. Also there is yoga every day (at extra cost), sometimes on the same hour as the surfing lesson. There is some variation, and nothing has concrete set hours until one day before the event. So you need to be a bit flexible and go with the flow to enjoy your stay here.

Surfing package includes 2hr lessons for 5 days, and unlimited board+wetsuit rent. Note that you need to walk with the board for 10 or so minutes until you get to the closest beach. There are classes for 3 skill levels. The waves are unpredictable and can be quite large with strong currents. I would say this place is ok for level 1 (complete beginners) and good for level 3 (intermediate surfers, unless it is flat). Level 2 has a lot of variation, and IMO requires more predictable waves. Lower days are good for level 2, but higher days are too much of a challenge to get steady progress.

I would say that the largest disadvantage is that this place is hugely popular and fully booked half a year in advance. So your guest experience is less important. Not that it's bad, but at no point I felt the staff went out of their way for something that I asked for. I think they rely less on repeat bookings. Also you don't have the flexibility of checking in a couple of days before or suddenly decide to stay for one more week.

This place is ideal for being close to the beach, meeting cool people and having a few drinks. The staff are super helpful, fun and welcoming. The facilities are excellent whether it's the pool, surf equipment or outdoor gym area. Couldn't recommend it more!

Second solo surf trip and it was worth the investment. I chose the yoga and surf package over the 2 weeks. It was the most relaxing trip with great weather, food and full of amazing people from around the world. Ericeria is a beautiful place with amazing beaches and the optimal place for surfing. I had Julietta as my surf coach and she made the whole experience so positive, that I am going to continue developing my skills for surfing and trying to make it a lifestyle. The staff at Lapoint are super friendly and answer any questions you may have. I highly recommend the 2 week stay if you are trying to improve your surf, and its a great place for solo travellers.

I stayed in a private bungalow with my boyfriend. It was wonderful. Great space, lovely bathroom and comfy beds. The bungalow/private room was still in the camp so we could socialize with others in the camp, while still having our own private Space. The standard of the surf course was excellent, and I bought some great photos of myself in action riding waves! The location is great, and a 20min walk will get you into the nearby town filled with fantastic little stores and restaurants. It was magical.

I spent 3 weeks at La Point Ericeira, the accommodation was wonderful and the housekeeping staff did an amazing job at keeping the standard high. I started as level 1 with Pedro and his guidance and positivity in the water helped me so much, I then moved to Level 2 with Rui Ferreira and Emile they both were incredible from theory to getting me to conquer my fears in the water. I have gained a lot of confidence in the water and have a new kindest towards things thanks to these coaches. I’m excited to continue to grow in my surfing journey and hope to come back to la point Ericeira as level 3! Thanks to all the staff members for making la point feel like home :) obragada

Had a really amazing week here in the level two class with João. Excellent teaching both in and out of the water and we even went on an excursion to see surfboards being made. The yin yoga class I attended was second to none, and the facilities at the hostel are fab - really relaxing place but also very social! Loved the skate bowl and the views of the sea from the hostel, especially at sunset. The food was always absolutely great and all the staff were mega friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back, thank you !!

A super nice experience !! You'll find everything you need in the camp and around, people are super friendly, everything is clean and well dressed. You can practice many differents sports inside the camp, special mention for the concrete bowl (:

We wanted to try surfing for the first time of our life and Lapoint got our attention. We were not disappointed since the facilities were excellent quality, service was great and the price included surf equipment and training too. Excellent and professional start of our surf career. Levels 1-3 are teached here.

The place of this surfplace is perfect you can watch the beach and the waves from the camp the view is amazing. This house is taking more then 100 guest but it always feels like there 20 people because its so good built. besides that is the surf perfect and the teachers are professionals.
and the food is Amazing. in the camp they have a swimming pool,Vollyboll,Crossfit area,pingpong tables 2,yoga, skateramp(skatepool) and a Bar. And best for last you can sign upfor trips during the week like go to wineyard, Visit Lissabon and more.

Nice brand new place located very close to the beach outside of Ericeira town. The pool and outside facilities are great. The bar offers nice snacks, drinks and food. It’s almost too fancy for a proper surf camp. Nice staff.

We did level 2 surf lessons for a week. Incredible teachers, everyone who worked at la point was super happy and helpful. We learnt so much knowledge about the ocean. My love for surfing went to the next level after this trip. If you want to learn how to surf or improve your skills I couldn't recommend la point enough!!! I can't wait to go to the other destinations they have.

I have been to Lapoint Portugal two times and both times have been awesome. You get to meet a lot of great people, both people like you, that is there to surf, and the staff. If you just come opened minded and ready to have fun, this is the place to be. You have the beach, the conditions for surfing, the town and the local people, Lisbon -which is not far, great excursions, and much more. I highly recommended it if you´re up for a fun vacation.
