The best shrimps I have ever had. It’s very tasty. I had chicken satay, the shrimps and cheesecake. The chef is extremely impressive. It’s more expensive than the other restaurants around here but with the quality provided, it’s worth every € pay.

Went for lunch. Very good food. Plates to share, for 2 I recommend 3 for a light meal or 4 if you want to be fuller.

Got the mushroom risotto, which made for a great and flavourful stew. The octopus with pesto is also very nice. The mixed plate is also nice. Very good cheeses and meats.

Friendly customer service and quite decent amount of tapas options for vegetarians. Just wish that they had more options of local wine by glass. Good chat with the owner and enjoyed the location of seating.

Amazing place with authentic interior, fresh food and ice cold beverages. Located in a beautiful town with narrow streets and great views. The owner is very friendly and offers great service with a smile. The chef really knows her way around the kitchen. Both the owner and the chef take the time to come up to your table and ask if everything is okay. They offer free wifi and a blanket when its chilly. Overall a great experience

This is one of those hidden jewels restaurant 🤩⭐🤩 it is a tiny family run restaurant so you better book. The food is homemade and freshly cooked, it is so delicious. We loved every tapas we ordered. From the seasoning to cooking it was all balanced and tasty. Of course the service is friendly and family like . Georges let you know about the time you have to wait. The cook I think his wife, came to us after her service and asked if we were okay about the waiting time. For this food I will fats for hours 😂

What a beautiful cute little place to have lunch. Highly recommend! We had some food, wine and port wine, was all so good! Place was super clean, staff very nice and all together 5 stars worth! Can’t wait for my next trip here.

As good as the promise. Very tasty, fresh and original tapas. We had tomato salad, green salad, (not so hot) chicken wings, sateh. Small interior adding to the experience of exclusiveness. The place is a bit up the hill and separated from the centre. Seemingly the only reason to visit Monchique!

This cafe is small but perfectly formed. Coffee was good, ginger cake nice and rich. It made a good pit stop on a walk around the town. Not very traditional but good fun.

Outstanding food, kind owners, cozy atmosphere, amazing wine and port! Would recommend to go here if you are in Monchique! Good to book as it is quite small inside.

Still can’t quite believe how good the food was. My wife and I were so impressed. Owners very cool and good to talk too. A tad pricey but well worth it. Highly recommend

Little gem in the middle of Monchique, a host from our hotel recommended us this place and we were lucky to go and find a table. Little restaurant with just a few tables and amazing food. We tried octopus, tomato salad, mushrooms, picaña and red velvet cake, everything was to die for, meat and octopus melt in you mouth, it was so soft. This restaurant is a must if you are in monchique. It’s usual very busy but we were early afternoon in a week day and they have a table looking outsite, really nice ambience and super friendly staff, making sure everything is good. It’s a tapas bar so small portion, good to try different food and also good prices

Absolutely wonderful experience! The staff was very friendly and the food…..Wow! Combine this with a nice and small terras, good wines and e lovely village and you have a great lunch experience. Only down side: they didn’t serve tea (I have solved this with a glas of Port 😊)

Came across this delightful restaurant quite by chance & we're so glad we did! Very friendly service; charming interior and stunning food! We had the fabulously tender octopus plus shrimps, again cooked to perfection, accompanied by a really nice quinoa salad with lovely subtle flavours. I had a glass of nice rosé wine while Eve had a refreshing home-made lemonade. We found out afterwards that this is the #1-rated restaurant in Monchique – we can see why! Highly recommended. We’ll be back.

The food is very delicious, vegetarian and vegan is also available. The cakes are so good, and all of the tapas we had were great too! The family who runs the place is so nice. Really wonderful people! We will definitely come back!

Fantastic restaurant, we stopped off for lunch after a long hike. I think we would say it’s the best food we’ve had so far in the algarve and that’s saying something! The salads were so fresh and delicious and the meats were incredible. Would strongly recommend to anyone who wants a little gem! I also loved that the chef popped out at the end.

This place is fantastic. We love good food and the tapas here is lovely. The chorizo, black pork and sweet potatoes with tomato salad are a dream.

Tapas is absolutely wonderful and unique and the owners are super friendly. There's a great little deck area on the street and cosy interior. It's quite small so make a booking. Highly recommended
