Retiro da Fraguinha

It was sort of closed when I got there on motorcycle but caretaker let me stay. Lovely place. As others said a little oasis in a very high wild area. Hot showers and good WiFi near building. Perfect for me.

Really nice campsite at the top of a really steep climb (but I was cycling with luggage and it almost killed me!). The views are spectacular and worth it. Rui couldn't have been more helpful. He was really responsive to emails beforehand and was warm and caring on my arrival. Such a nice guy. The campsite was quiet, peaceful and well laid out. It has a little restaurant/café, an eating area (inside and out), BBQ area, plenty of bins and a shower/toilet block. The showers and toilets could do with some upgrading but they're basic and sufficient. There are many walks signposted nearby if you wish. If I wasn't cycling I'd have checked them as they look stunning. At only €8 for my 1 camping night and €1.50 for a bottle of beer, it's a cheap night away. Very happy and would recommend. This really is a hidden gem, a little dingley dell at the top of a mountain! ... with a gorgeous stream and a lagoon, complete with croaking frogs! The showers are hot and bathrooms immaculate ... we were only planning on a stop over but stayed an extra night, because it's so wonderful ... we will be back!

If you are looking for a place that your phone will not have a reception and cut your connection with the world, you are at the place. Very quiet and relaxing. All the way to know the surrounding area.

Camping is great (physically and as experience). Clean camping and nice people... and the most important, location is excellent. In the middle of nowhere in the mountains! Suppper!
If I would look for anything not cool in that camping is lack of real Wi-Fi ... actually no signal at all and (I guess mostly mine problem) difficulty in only Portuguese language stuff 😀

About real cool stuff, be ready during summer in 30 + 'C at night can be easily 10... told you place is really cool!

P.S I forgot to add, even if 'outside', is real inferno like 35+, at camping as covered by own forest, at the pitch is really nice and chill 😎

Located at an altitude of 920m this campsite is perfect. Hot water for showers and dish washing and electricity works great.
The woman speaks good English and they are all very friendly.

We had a wonderful experience in this camping. The people who own it are very nice and helpful, and they keep the camping really cosy and clean.
The place is in a really pretty location, very close to mountain trails and nice swimming spots by the river. We highly recommend it to both young people and families!

Very beautifull park wirh extremelly friendly owners. Love it!

Este parque de campismo fez-me querer acampar mais vezes. O rapaz que nos recebeu foi muito simpático e acolhedor, fez-nos sentir em casa. Muito espaço para colocar as tendas, muitas àrvores fazendo boa sombra, tem um curso de àgua, tem um local onde sai àgua potavel fresquinha onde enchiamos a garrafa todas as manhãs... Resumindo, foi uma experiência muito agradável e de certo que iremos voltar para passar mais noites neste paraíso no meio da serra.

Local super tranquilo. Muito silêncio, belas paisagens de montanha e uma relva impecável. Às vezes chove e não há rede de telemóvel, faz parte 😌

Passa-se bem a noite na caravana. As instalações não são as mais recentes. Há até um riacho que atravessa o parque 🤩

Parque de campismo muito bom, bem organizado, casas de banho super limpas. Staff 5***** local sossegado, jantar no restaurante, só com reserva, adorei o bife de vitela e o arroz de feijão. Recomendo 👌 um dia vou voltar a este sítio paradisíaco 🏕🌲🏞🫶

Wer die Berge liebt und sich da gerne aufhält und sei es nur für eine Nacht. Der ist in der schönen grünen Oase mitten in den Bergen gut aufgehoben. Das Camp ist sauber und gut gepflegt und wer etwas zu Essen braucht bekommt auch was, wenn man möchte.

Parque de campismo bastante calmo, muito familiar.
Tem bastantes sombras, excelentes casas de banho com banhos quentes, churrasqueiras e mesas para comer.
Para os campistas com tenda que necessitem de luz convém levar um extensão comprida, pois o ponto de luz fica no início da zona para tendas.

O parque é extremamente tranquilo ideal para quem pretende fazer uma pausa do stress e barulhos do dia a dia.
Não é muito grande, bom para famílias, tem parque infantil.

Não tem piscina ou lago no entanto existem muito boas soluções na zona envolvente.

Tem um pequeno restaurante que devido ao Covid-19 só serve por marcação, para além do interior tem uma excelente esplanada.

Muito bom local para acampar em perfeita Arminia com a Natureza, muito bonito e sossegado. Muitos locais a visitar e percursos para caminhar ou Todo-Terreno espectaculares.
Muita simpatia por todo o pessoal em especial do Sr. Pedro e D. Maria do Céu com um restaurante TOP.
Experiência a repetir e recomendo a quem goste de Natureza, sossego, comida caseira, excelente parque de montanha.

Local perfeito para relaxar e desfrutar de uma atmosfera natural e tranquila ao som da natureza envolvente. O som característico dos passarinhos e as sombrinhas constantes, são ótimos para passeios ou atividades ao ar livre. Os responsáveis do parque são de uma simpatia incrível e super acolhedora. Todo o parque e infraestruturas de apoio estão limpas e muito bem cuidadas! Muito Obrigado por tudo
