So fun! We did the shorter tour and next time we will do the longer one. Pretty views, nice Staff, and good opportunities to rest and take a swim in the river. 10/10

Really cool experience! We were picked up in Coimbra and dropped back there after the tour. The staff were friendly and attentive. We did the 18km journey and stopped a couple of times to rest/eat/drink. Stunning views. It was well worth it. Highly recommend!

4 of us enjoyed a great day on the Mondego. Good value for the money, well organized. 18km trip that was partly escorted and then on our own. A beginner's dream for nubbies at kayaking. Scenery of course is beautiful. We live in Portugal and enjoyed it But perfect for vacationers.

Brilliant day Kayaking, the views where stunning. Quite a long kayak but it was down river so didn't require massive effort levels. Wear shoes you dont mind getting wet and cover your sholders, maybe a cap too. It gets hot!

A must! A gentle 18km paddle down the Montego river amidst lush forests, kites and herons and the occasional sandy beach to break the journey. We left our car at the finish and were driven along the winding river bank to the start. After instructions and fitting of a life jacket you are left to make the journey down river on your own. The boats are good quality and Jonas was on hand at three tricky areas to give assistance. We did the journey in 3.5 hours. Great fun and safe with some excitement at points where the water moved just a little faster around rocks and small islands.

The location to meet is at the start of the river trip at 10am ( drive about half mile past the camp site and look for the orange sign ) ignore your satNav if it tries to take you down a cobbled street then down a grass track ) Parking is next to the river with plenty of parking space. Wonderful relaxing 18k trip , it's a grade 1 and perfect for beginners , the guides stay with the groups taking care of safety , but also give time to relax on beaches. The beach near the end has a bar with food , take money or a pic nic. It has excellent quality free showers and toilets. The whole journey is beautiful and feels like traveling though a lost land with the sound of birds around you. Well organised company, good value full day entertainment.

Wonderful kayaking trip down the richly forested and gorgeous Mondego River. We drove to the secure company site around 5kms from Coimbra, which was also the end point. They offer a pickup service in Coimbra if you want. We were then driven up river to the start at Penacova. The kayaking is mostly easy, with a few mild challenges easily handled with the help of the on-river guide. The first part of the river is quite relaxing so one can really enjoy the scenery and nature. There is a break if everyone wants one, an equally pretty second part, and then a lunch stop at the restaurant near the second dam. From there it is only 2kms back to the pick-up point. The company runs an excellent operation and is very flexible.
