Friendliest, warmest host at a lovely place built into the stone in Monsanto. I booked a few months in advance and paid on site. She even cooked us a wonderful breakfast! Highly recommended to explore the most Portugese village in Portugal.

Como ha dicho alguno más por aquí, Monsanto es un pueblo muy bonito pero para visitar y largarse, los restaurantes carisimos que raya el timo xq no va en consonancia la calidad con el precio. En cuanto al alojamiento igual y esta casa no cumple. Nos dieron una habitación a pie de calle, oscura, sin un aseo con puerta x lo que no tenias ni intimidad para hacer tus necesidades. La dueña, eso si , muy amable, antes de ir me llamo para que cancelara mi reserva en boking xq me cobraban más y la entendí me cobraba 5 euros menos por habitación que eran dos. Me quito 5 euros de una y no bajo precio ninguno mas, con lo cual utilizo una plataforma como captacion, que supongo cobrará sus servicios, pero no repercutió en beneficio ninguno para nosotros sino para ella que cobro lo mismo y se quito al intermediario del medio utilizandome a mi , cosa que me parece muy muy fea. No te coge ni tu DNI, no admite tarjeta de crédito... enfin, poca profesionalidad. Este pueblo es un claro ejemplo de cómo defraudar.

Accommodation tried to rip me off. First, I booked the accommodation via booking.com with the option to cancel for free and was informed about a price spike during the dates I booked and for which I already received a booking confirmation. Nonetheless, I agreed to pay the 40%(!) higher rate for the dates I wanted. A down payment of 210€ was required as a direct transfer to the accommodation. When I cancelled the accommodation within the free cancellation period, Estela (host of Casa de David) had the audacity to simply ignore my messages and not even inform me about the fact that she thought there is no free cancellation. Hence, I engaged the booking.com support who seemed to struggle to manage to resolve this with the accommodation themselves. After long back and forth, I was offered a voucher for future use at Casa de David. Obviously, I would never ever stay at a place with such management in the future and threatened legal actions against booking.com after which I was credited the missing amount from booking.com. The tale has it that the poor customer support agent who needed to work on this is still trying to make Estela pay back the stolen money. I have stayed in many many hotels and this tops the worst of the worst in terms of shittyness. I highly recommend you to look for an alternative accommodation or simply camp outside the village before you resort to this place.

Monsanto in generale una comunità di evasori. Le strutture ricettive sono trappole per turisti. Il Castello da visitare è stupendo. Consiglio di andarlo a visitare, senza fermarsi però a dormire e portatevi il cibo da casa.

Null Service, wir kommen nicht wieder, Das Haus sieht von außen sehr schön aus, aber die Zimmer, in denen wir waren( 2 Paare) entsprechen nicht den normalen Anforderungen. Wir sind enttäuscht

Ha sido capaz de dejar a un bebé y una niña en la calle, sin alojamiento en 30km alrededor, sin importarle nada.
