Hotel Casa Del Golfo

Just returned from a great week in El Salvador. If you're looking for a beautiful, remote off the tourist path location, you need to check out Casa Del Golfo.
Our flights were five hours delayed, so we didn't arrive to the resort until almost 10pm, they kept the kitchen open and ensured we fed and had dinks in hand upon arrival.
Gustavo was our main point of contact while at the reosrt, he took care of everything we needed from translating between us and our charter fishing captain to guiding and translating for us on our excursion trip to a coffee plantation to ensuring we were able to stop by a local market to do some shopping on the way back to the airport. He also took candid pictures throughout the entire week, a few are attached with this review.
The entire trip was a great experience and would highly recommend it.

Casa del Golfo exceeded my expectations! We arrived at the front of the hotel, which is gate protected, our host, Gustavo, was waiting for us in the parking. The check in was friendly and fairly quick. As you pass the open air reception, you enter a private paradise. The hotel holds 10 rooms/ cabañas on fairly big grounds. Large enough that wherever you are, you can have a private experience. The 2 pools, open air restaurant, direct access to a private beach and the different locations and terraces to suntan, take in the views of the endless beaches or the ocean sunsets. They offer different types of rooms and or cabañas to fit your family, couple, budget. The decor of the rooms are fresh and “Boho Chic” with lots of cotton and cotton linen made our stay not only welcoming, but felt like home. The grounds are very well manicured and maintained on a daily basis by the incredible and non invasive staff. They offer a wide array of activities, on and off site.

From surfing lessons, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, snorkelling and different tours are offered by the hotel staff directly, no need to deal with a sub contractor and let me say that we have tried all and you will sleep like never before in their very comfortable mattress and sheets. From the convenient proximity to the airport to the breathtaking views of Golfo de Fonseca, this retreat is a gem. The commitment to local growth and providing diverse activities like surfing and fishing adds to its charm. As I arrived, the three inviting pools set the tone for a relaxing stay. Casa del Golfo is more than a destination; it's an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for those seeking tranquility and adventure in equal measure.

Great experience! Rooms are very clean and modern, Marianno and his staff are very professional, accommodating, and even went out of their way to cook our Dorado that we harvested in different variations so we could enjoy the freshly caught fish with different palates. Food quality and flavor was 5 star; don't forget to try their shrimp cocktail, Meriscada, and desserts as they won't disappoint. The location is very private and provides up close ocean views. Very peaceful environment that offers an exceptional experience. Thank you, Marianno and staff, for providing a 5 star experience for our group!

My son and I just spent 5 days and 4 nights with the fine folks at Casa Del Golfo. From the time they picked us up at the airport until they dropped us back off we truly felt like they were family. They went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. The room was great, the facilities were nice, the food was delicious, and the service was attentive. I truly enjoyed getting to know the people at the Hotel, all the way from the owner to the bell hop and kitchen staff. If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay, this place is just for you. One of the days my son went fishing without me, and I enjoyed the pool, a walk on the beach, and laying in the hammock. I also appreciated their efforts to provide activities for the guest like snorkeling and kayaking. We came for the fishing but the highlight for us was the new friends we made. I loved the homey and quiet feel of this place! Thanks for everything, this will always be a memory my son and I will cherish.

Beautiful place to share with family and friends, very exclusive atmosphere. All friendly staff always available Full of a lot of security The only bad thing ...... is having to leave the place I would like life to be eternal and not leave the hotel It is advisable to take 2 days to fully enjoy the hotel.



I took a chance on staying at this property and it paid off! The hotel manager welcomed me upon arrival and consistently checked in with me to ensure my stay was going well. I had the privilege of meeting the owner of the hotel and he invited me to fish with him! We caught big jacks and sailfish. The evenings swaying in the hammock watching the sunset over the property beach was a memory I'll cherish. Can't wait to go back!

Casa Del Golfo is a diamond in the rough. The resort is in the most gorgeous location. Sunsets are stunning. The resort has the most gorgeous grounds and the accommodations are wonderful. The staff is beyond a 5 star rating! Everyone could not do enough for us and we felt like royalty! We came as guests and left as friends. The only downside was there really is not a town other nearby restaurants to try. Fishing and surfing were great. Snorkeling was as fun as the adventure to get to the water. My husband and I highly recommend this resort.

Our family of 3 had the best time at Casa del Golfo. Not only was the hotel beautiful, the people and the hospitality it what makes this place #1! Besides the people, the food was delicious, the rooms comfortable and clean, and of course the fishing was great! Our son enjoyed fishing from the beach and we enjoyed the hammocks and lounge chairs to view him fishing and the views of the beach. We did 2 fishing trips one inshore and one offshore! We caught several different types of fish and a huge mahi-mahi! Definitely recommend this resort for anyone looking to relax, fish, and eat good food! We will definitely be back!

I've done a lot of traveling, and Casa Del Golfo was easily my favorite vacation. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The cabanas were so comfortable and the property is unreal gorgeous! Easily one of the most beautiful landscapes I've ever seen. The beach is unbelievable and so private. When I mentioned to the owner it was my father's birthday he quickly threw together a birthday party for him, equipped with pinatas, cakes and more! I traveled there with my entire family of all different ages and there was truly something for everyone; from paddle-board, surfing, fishing charters, whale watching and snorkeling to poolside drinks and snacks. I cannot recommenced this place enough, if you haven't been you must go!

Traveled a bit for both surfing and fishing and casa del golfo stood out from anywhere I’ve ever been for not only it’s amazing & attentive staff but the absolute stunning location and property. The rooms are comfy and homey which makes all the difference when you’re traveling. Not to mention they bring you to some of the best surfing & fishing I’ve ever experienced. I highly recommend spending your El Salvador trip here.

This place is Heaven! Absolutly unbelievable how beautiful it is. The rooms are very clean and quaint. The view is amazing. The staff is the sweetest. They even helped throw a birthday party for my husband and purchased ballons and a pinata without me even knowing! The pool is clean and they clean it a couple of times a day. The staff is always walking around the premises and cleaning up. The staff is full of smiles and made us feel so comfortable. I love the beds and the hammocks on the premises; they are both beautiful and comfortable and add to the heavenly feeling! We will be back!

Amazing boutique hotel in front of the ocean. Service is great with extremely helpful and nice staff. The landscapes and surroundings are magnificent, vegetation is luxurious and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We spent a week there right before Christmas and the hotel was very quiet. Had a great relaxing time. Highly recommended

This was my first time in Casa del Golfo and I loved every minute of it. I loved the place, the food, the people, the beach... What I loved the most is how candid and welcoming the staff is. I had never ever experienced such kindness and attention. Congratulations, your staff is the best of the best. We loved the aquatic activities. In general, such a wonderful experience.

Absolutely a must see and stay destination in El Salvador!

An amazingly beautiful place to truly appreciate the landscapes that El salvador offers. A very kind staff and well kept grounds to boot. Me and my family had an amazing time here and will def be back in the future. I highly recommend.

The owners are wonderful, kind people, and the staff works hard to make you feel special. Beautiful grounds, amazing food, and the possibilities are endless; whale watching, volcano climbing and views, inshore and offshore fishing, kayaking and surfing, and, most importantly, relaxation.
