Some of the reviews here are for the lake area. This is the entrance to a hiking path. You can hike 3km without a guide, 7km with a guide. You can also go camping. Entrance fee is 200 THB per person, if you go after 4:30pm, you can come back the next day for free. A full day tour with guide including lunch is 1200 (plus fee), which we did. These tours are usually less than 6 people

The first part is very easy. We were able to see some snakes, spiders, macaques, and dusky leaf monkeys.

The second part is a lot harder, like a medium hike. Your guide will give you three options (2 waterfalls, 1 cliff) and you can choose.
Our guide advised us to go to the cliff, as the waterfalls are not as impressive at the end of the dry season (late March).

Our guide showed us lots of wildlife, told us what not to touch, etc...
It was a lot of fun, he was very positive (Pon).

We were sweating a lot, but the cliff was beautiful. Right before the entrance to the "guide only" area (3km in), you can buy some water or go to the toilet.

We were told that lunch and water is included. We only got 2x550ml water and a small rice box at the beginning. I was a bit disappointed in that.

I feel like the price is a bit expensive compared to other tours, but it was a lot of fun, and we wouldn't have seen half as much without the guide.

Amazing trail. Saw monkeys along the way. They are friendly and don't bother with you. Did it with no guide and it was necessary. Took a slow wonder took around 3 hours there & back.

Did a night safari at 7-9pm.
The guide started from the main trail and lead us off the main trail - through the small trails. It’s kinda cool.
It was nice experience in the jungle at night.
We saw snakes , spiders , lizards , crickets and other small animals.

The guide was not speak much. Probably because of language barriers.

I didn’t expect it to be this big 😂 and a lot of things to do.
Next time I would book a day trekking that starts from 9-5pm that will bring us to the deepest water fall and camping
over night at the campground ⛺

It's beautiful here during the day too.
I advise you to take a swimsuit.
I recommend it.

I recently took a day trip to this beautiful natural park in Thailand and it was an unforgettable experience. We were lucky to have a fantastic guide named "Arm" who led us through the jungle and introduced us to the rich flora and fauna of the region.

What I appreciated most about Arm was his passion and enthusiasm for his work. He did it with heart and soul and his English was excellent, allowing us to understand everything he told us about the environment.

I highly recommend taking a guide when visiting this natural park, as otherwise you are only allowed to stay on the main roads. Thanks to Arm, we were able to see monkeys, snakes, lizards, spiders, and much more!

This natural park is a must-visit for anyone who loves nature and adventure. It is a beautiful area with breathtaking views and fascinating animals and plants.

I will never forget this experience and I am grateful for the wonderful guide who helped us make the most of it. If you get the chance to visit this natural park, do not hesitate to book a tour with Arm (you can contact him through facebook: Sittichai Nakksem) as your guide. You will not regret it!

Wonderful flora. Fauna is nice as well, but realize a jungle is not a zoo. Plenty of group tours, a bit less for the diy exploration.

I booked the two days, one night group tour on the lake.
I was absolutely surprised by the organization of the different program points of the tour. Since I booked really spontaneously, they made it possible for me, to join the group, where my friend was already booked in.
The team made a great job in organizing the transport from Surat Thani airport to the office, as well as my trip to Khao lake afterwards.

Looking on the tour itself:
Yeah, time on the lake was just incredible. We had the opportunity to stop whenever they were animals spotted. The guys were super nice and explaining and sharing their experience. There was enough food for everybody, and I was surprised about the great taste of the local food. , you could choose between being vegetarian or vegan as well.
Because of the heavy rains in the evening, we didn’t see the sunset. But that was totally fine.

What I would be different next time:
I would prefer to stay longer, and bring more clothes to change. 😂

In December of 2021, I made a visit to this location in order to see the Rafflesia Kerrii. The nature of the route is already difficult, but after the Covid-19 situation, tourists are not permitted to come. It means that for the past two years, there has been no visitor access to this woods, making the footpath more difficult than it has been. At first, I assume this will be simple, so I dress casually (you can see from my backpack and I wear shoes that do not suppose to walk in the forest ). However, when I arrive at this place. I'm well aware that this will not be easy. The path is extremely difficult, slippery, and has slugs, which I must be aware of. I take a break along the route near the river, which is both gorgeous and peaceful. However, because the Rafflesia Kerrii grows deep in the forest, I must walk constantly. I had to cross a river that was the same height as my waist, and it soaked my entire body. At least the Rafflesia Kerrii was taken away by the people, so I didn't see it. Even though I did not fulfill my goal, it is still worthwhile to visit because the view is breathtaking. If you enjoy taking walks in the woods and appreciate the beauty of nature, I recommend this place for you. But be sure that you prepare your body and dress that suppose to walk in the tough routes.

Absolutely beautiful. 200 baht entry fee for foreigners. But worth it. Go early morning if you want to stay away from the midday heat

During our Walking Tour, we saw a group of monkeys in the trees as well as countless butterflies and dragonflies. From the canoe, we could also witness an iguana and funny toads as well as some exotic birds. Overall, we had a great day in the park that also involved some swimming.

Did a night safari and saw all sorts of animals. Our guide was good. A lot of leeches but that’s par for the course. The nearby resorts are great since it so close to the beach and other attractions. One of my favorite places.

The night trekking is not to be missed if one is in Khao Sok. What an awe inspiring experience it was taking a plunge into heart of the forest.

A very impressive park. which includes several attractions far from each other and the way to spend time and see is to book a 2-3 day tour of the park
