Esmeralda View Resort

I loved this place! The staff is super warm, welcoming and friendly! They have a lot of beautiful cats and are super kind to them. Our bungalow was incredible! We had a large private terrace with ocean view and the interior of the bungalow is just wonderful! I was very surprised by the variety of the included breakfast. You find delicious Thai breakfast as well as European, good juices, a choice of tea and coffee. The view from the restaurant over the sea is just amazing! The beach area is rather small and wild. You should rent a bike for activities outside of the resort (you can rent bikes directly at the resort).

It was simply beautiful! We arrived on the island without any accommodation and found this wonderful resort. The owner pulled out all the stops to give us 2 nights, even though everything was already fully booked. We were lucky and after some back and forth we spent 2 nights in a beautiful deluxe bungalow with a sea view. You couldn't wish for more hospitality and comfort! We would come back any time. The best place we stayed in Thailand. Pond, Nono and the staff are very nice, kind and willing to help you to have the best experience on the island. The food was delicious and the view from the restaurant is stunning. The bungalow was amazing: clean, functional, well designed and with an incredible view. I definitely recommend to stay here, we regret we didn’t spend more days at the Esmeralda View Resort.

Perfect place to chill. Very nice bungalows, clean and with huge, very comfortable bed. The owners are just amazing, very helpful and I enjoyed every conversation. The place is definitely worth a visit. The island also has its unique places.

Great place for the value. I had a view of the ocean from the room and could see the sunrise. The staff is awesome, so accommodating I'd stay again if on the island.

The best of Esmeralda View resort was the staff. Pond the resort manager was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great (specially the sweat dishes and the fried fish). Rooms were spacious and clean with ac and amazing views to the sea. WiFi didn't reach our room however, was very in the common areas. We did a few private tours organised by the resort and they were the best thing of our Thailand trip. 100% recommend.

The most beautiful place to stay! The staff are so gracious and helpful, especially Mr. Nono, and they gave us an incredible experience. Great food, gorgeous cabins (C1 had a great view and air conditioning), scooters to rent, and they arranged a snorkelling boat tour around the islands. I can’t recommend this place enough!

We fell in love with this amazing place 😍 Pond, Nono and the entire crew made our stay here incredible. From warm welcome & goodbye, over excellent food, beautiful bungalows (make sure to book higher category for having sea view) to a great service incl. a garden tour to see home-grown pineapples, passion fruits etc. - everything was perfect. Will make sure to pass by the next time we’re in Thailand.

All great, the place is a tiny bit away from the main road but super nice view and great man that works there Nono will sort you out with all you need 🪷

Absolutely stunning place. Make sure to get bungalows C1, C2, C3 or C4 to get the most out of it. Beautiful private terrace and mindblowing sea view all day.

They have the best breakfast you’ll ever have in Thailand and they really make sure you’ll have a great time on the island.

You’ll have to be okay with having to go to any beach for 15-30 minutes by motorbike. But the view, the people and the food definitely make up for it.

Restaurant is a little pricey for Thailand but the food is really really good!

Really nice spot in Ko Yao Yai. Spacious rooms with a great bathroom and a porch with chairs/beds. Pond was amazing, taking care of the front desk, arranging activities, preparing breakfast and a million other things. Nono the cook was always kind and gentle. The spot had great views of the archipelago in front of the island. It has access to a very small beach, but you'll probably want to rent a motorbike and visit some other beaches in the island, or arrange a day tour by boat (from the nearby jetty or the resort's beach.

Some things to note: the wifi is great but doesn't reach the bungalows further away from the reception, the breakfast is great but it's mostly sweet dishes rather than savoury, dinner was ok but very slow (I think it's only Nono cooking so not his fault, but make sure there's not a lot of people dining or that you're not in a hurry).

Amazing small family owned and operated place. The family is very engaged to help with any arrangement and to accommodate any requests.
Don’t look for big resort facilities and entertainment and instead enjoy the care the owners take here. We got a helpful introduction to the island with suggestions where to go. Travelling with a 6 months old baby, staff was very friendly and helpful to accommodate our situation and requirements.
We did a one day boat trip organized by the hotel and along the trip, we saw similar tours where we found our boat, captain, lunch, and setup to be the best — again evidencing the extra care of this place.
The view out to the sea and the small islands, by the way, is stunning/ spectacular. My wife and I travel a lot (80+ countries) and this is one of the best views out the front door we have had so far.
The wooden bungalows are very nice and really well kept, the surrounding garden, too. The beach in front is stony and not the picturesque postcard type .. but low tide allows a walk along the coastline to get to various beaches (north). Alternatively, go by scooter.

Clearly a recommendation for a boutique family owned bungalow resort. If you are looking for music, booze and party at the pool, please look someplace else.

One of the best hotels I‘ve ever stayed in! The owners and employees of the hotel are the nicest people and super helpful with everything. The food is also very delicious and they offer vegetarian and vegan options as well. The rooms are super nice and the view to the ocean is amazing!
They even have a scooter rental on their property.
Highly recommend this place!

Do yourself a favor and just stay here! Great food, friendly and helpful staff, second-to-none views and scooter rentals for exploring the island. We were also treated to a personal snorkeling and boat tour, what an unreal experience. Big shout out to Mr. Nono.

Amazing view, very friendly staff, good breakfast. Good place for relax.

We stayed 8 nights in one of the Seaview bungalows. The bungalow was new and very nicely furnished. In the evening we enjoyed the view from our Terrace with a beer while our daughter was asleep. The breakfast is amazing. Every 5 minute they come out with another delicious dish from the kitchen. Most of the dishes were local. I spent most of the remaining day to imagine traveling back in time to continue eating breakfast. They had small games for our baby to play with on the floor while we were eating... If not anyone of the staff was carrying here around to play with her. It was one of the most relaxing and beautiful stops on our journey. Thank you.

I really can recommend Esmeralda's view. They take care for everything and mich more important they are all so freidnly and alws willing to help you or give you some Tipps for what to do during your stay. I am writing this review as we spend the last two hours on our balcony, enjoying a fabulous view over Phang Nga bay.

This resort is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy some quietness. The staff, explicitly the owner Pond and the (great) chef/allrounder Mr Nono, are amazingly nice!

This place can be recommended without any exceptions and it is great to find such a calm place in between the buzzing tourist centers Phuket and Krabi.

Originally we planned to stay four nights and ended up staying nine - I guess this does not require any further explanations ;-)

Beautiful place with stunning views, booked a night here last minute as wanted to stay on island for longer and so glad we did - ended up staying a second night. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice accomodation and good food. Beach is small and rocky but if you're looking for quiet surroundings and a hospitable stay, would definitely recommend.

An amazing place in Koh Yao Yai. The hosts some of the most lovely people in Thailand. Fabulous view from balcony of Phang Nga bay. Perfect place to relax and and a great buffet breakfast.
