We had the pleasure of staying at Jamahkiri recently and loved everything about the hotel. We were fortunate to be able to dive with them for 2 days as well and I have nothing but great things to say about the dive club. The operation is so well run, they offer great equipment to use, excellent dive guides, and a nice boat that is so much nicer than the large crowded boats you see all over the island. We had great dives with guides that were so experienced and safe and the crew was so hard working to get us ready for all our dives. We had a blast and highly recommend them for anyone looking to get some dives in, or take certification classes.

Forgetting about all the stairs in this hotel it is a great place to stay on the island. Nice and quiet yet only 400 baht and 10 mins in taxi to all the restaurants and bars if you want them.
The staff are amazing, friendly and efficient.
Great cocktails in the pool bar.
The pavilion suites have fabulous views. Try and get No 6 as it is the closest to the hotel.

Came for a day, you can purchase pool access through the spa. The massage was incredible, probably the best I’ve ever had. Service at the pool was wonderful, the staff went out of their way to make the kids happy. Lunch menu at the pool is great, with a wide variety of western meals and Thai food. We hoped to snorkel as well, but the water was too rough the day we went. They do have a small beach access you can use if the weather is better.

Very nice hotel with the best view. Friendly and helpful staff. Baby sharks in the Bay as well as turtles. And yes, a lot of stairs... good to stay in shape!

A beautiful property nested around the Shark Bay, Koh Tao. Everything about this place was amazing. Whether it is the Pavilion room with panoramic view of the ocean, the food, pool and happy hours, spa, we enjoyed every bit of this place thoroughly. We will definitely come back to this place again.

Many reviews mention the steps, and yes there are a lot, but when you stand in almost every part of the resort the views are nothing short of sensational. The resort itself is also beautiful, very nicely set into the hillside with tasteful landscaping. The pool is stunning, the reception and dining areas equally so. We stayed in the 3 bedroom villa which is furthest away of all the rooms, but so worth the walk. It is a fabulous villa in every sense.

The staff are all extremely pleasant and helpful. Always willing to assist, a smile ever present. They are a credit to the hotel.

The food is also great. Yes the prices are high end resort prices but the quality of the food is reflective of the prices.

A few of our group used the spa for some treatments and were extremely happy with the services offered.

We all used the dive school. This was the main reason for choosing the resort. It is an excellent school. Having their own dive boat is such an advantage, and we were able to take advantage of this and dive to a newly sung wreck (special mention to the boat crew who were a wonderful). Joy in the dive shop lives up to her name, Tom the manager is very helpful, and all the instructors have such an infectious enthusiasm for diving.

We are already planning a return trip to take the next level of scuba training and dive some more sites around the island.

As for the steps, consider it a gentle workout, or a way of offsetting all the wonderful thai food that is consumed! The views are worth it.

Wow, wow, wow! What a beautiful place to stay! We had a room 501 with 2 bedrooms, living room and 2 bathrooms and great balcony with an awesome view. Breakfast-buffet was good and you can choose additional different pancakes, omelet etc. There is a nice swimming pool. Spa was not ready yet. Good WiFi. It’s wasn’t very busy at resort. Stairs are just a good work-out!:-)

We had a lovely time in Jamahkiri!
This resort is isolated from the rest which gives it a quiet vibe of a real vacation but also makes it a bit harder to reach.
The view is absolutely amazing from the room and from the pool area.
The breakfast is rich and tasty.

A few extras:
1. There is a 1+1 happy hour in the pool bar from 5pm to 7pm and they make the best banana colada.
2. There are a lot of stairs, and when I say a lot it's *a lot* if you know it's gonna be difficult for you to cope with it so think twice if you wanna stay here.
3. You can go out to fun dives straight from the hotel with Jamahkiri dive - we did an open water course at a pretty good price (10900 batt) and really enjoyed it.
4. This is a luxury resort unlike other places in koh tao, if you are looking for an affordable place it is not one of them.
5. We rented a bike during the week and found it the easiest way to travel around the island.
If you don't wanna ride a motorcycle the resort offers a free shuttle service during the day but not at night time.

We hope to come again!

A truly wonderful stay. Mr Nice (yes that's his name) took us to our three bedroom villa telling us he was very confident we would like it. We did.
They had mentioned before we booked there was some work going on but it rarely bothered us. There are indeed a lot of steps but it makes you do a bit of exercise so no complaints on that front from us. Will definitely come back. Tom is also very helpful at the dive school and we were very well looked after by them and indeed all the staff. Thank you!

Yes, there are stairs but it pays off with one of the best views I had during my time in Thailand! Rooms directly located seafront with balconies towards Kho Phangan. Location is quiet, but you get to the pier within 10 minutes if you want to. Also, the hotel is located at the only bay with sea turtels in Koh Tao, which is really amazing!! Had a great massage at the spa. And thanks to the amazing recepionist, who send my AirPods which I forgot to Bangkok within 24h at no extra cost (I do not know how he did it, just amazing). Would come back anytime when in Koh Tao!!

Magical place to stay. Best views from the pool and the room. Very nice staff (specially at the restaurant and pool) and good food and cocktails. We had the best experience in this island with the great standards of accommodation of Thailand. Highly recommended if you want to relax, eat well, enjoy views and amazing beach.

Beautiful peaceful hotel. Friendly ppl. The only thing I would mention is that the huge water gas station is located right in front of the hotel beach. Sometimes you feel the smell from the boats that came to get ⛽ gas.

We had the most amazing stay at Jamahkiri! One of our favourite places of our trip. We stayed in the original villas and the view was spectacular, the snorkelling was wonderful and the team were lovely. The room was dated but had a relaxing atmosphere, the bedding was clean and there were no mosquitoes. We also enjoyed our food, particularly the chicken wings with the papaya salad, satay sticks and the pepper pork! Breakfast was also great and served with sparkling wine if you desire. The stairs did not bother us at all. The only improvement would be to replace bathroom amenities daily. We will be back!

Jamahkiri has it all: beautiful rooms, iconic views, white sand beach at your doorstep, huge bay for snorkelling at your doorstep, wonderful staff who are always ready to help and great food! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

We stayed in the pavilion room and had complete privacy, silence at night and excellent wifi (we are digital nomads).

Beautiful resort! We loved it. Everybody who works there goes above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. The food is amazing, the view wonderful and very nice people. The guy at the front desk even rented a motorcycle for us and we didn't had to worry about anything. Didn't even needed to put down a deposit or our passports. He took care of everything. Also the guy at the restaurant came down to talk to us everyday, how we were etc. We would definitely come back to Koh Toa only for this ressort. Hands down the best hotel we had so far in whole of Thailand.

Wonderful stay, beautiful views and amazing staff, special thanks to Mr Nice for being so helpful to our group - organised ferry tickets and transport to the pier at the minute.
Cannot recommend this hotel enough, particularly the snorkelling - stunning coral and giant sea turtles just at the bottom of the hotel marina.
10/10.

Great hotel and great diving school. Went on my first dive with them and it could not have been better! Thanks Pierre for being such a great instructor. 100% recommend them if you’re learning to dive or taking your license.

Beautiful design built into the rocky hillside. Craftsmanship of entire place is phenomenal. Great views. Service as expected in Thailand.... Warm and friendly. A lot of stairs. Great snorkeling, kayaking, diving. All equipment available.

A pastoral, beautiful and quiet place for a honeymoon. The rooms are large, quiet and beautiful. There is access to the sea and there is an option to get diving and swimming equipment for those who are not good at swimming. Some things that were problematic is that the hotel is far from many things and you have to take a motorcycle or walk for a long time and the hotel itself is full of stairs, which will make it difficult for a disabled person.
