View Point Resort

I had a fantastic experience at View Point Resort. Diego, the receptionist, was incredibly helpful, sharing valuable insights about the area and the island. The entire staff was exceptionally polite, always greeting with a smile. Our stay in the Seaside Bungalow was breathtaking, especially with the balcony overlooking the sea. The pool was delightful, and the breakfast offered an excellent variety – from fruits and yogurt to pancakes, waffles, and even Thai dishes. I highly recommend this hotel for an incredible stay.

Great resort with wonderful staff. The front desk staff were very helpful with answering many of our questions and helping us navigate the island. Breakfast buffet and restaurant food were amazing — the best food we’ve had on our trip! The garden view room had a beautiful view of the sea too. You can walk to the small town and nearby beaches. They are in walking distance to shark bay and the viewpoint hike which is nice for those not renting a motorbike here but wanting to checkout those attractions. We loved staying here and would come back!

Beautiful boutique hotel, staff are extremely friendly. We had a sea view room and it was incredible. Breakfast was very nice but dinner in the restaurant wasn't as nice (and cost far more) as some other local spots. The hotel is on a very steep hill so would avoid it if you're planning on using mopeds and you're not the most confident (like me). The hotel has its own taxi service (100tbh per person, per trip) which we opted for many times, only problem is that this finishes at 10pm.

This place is so underatted! A real hidden gem!

we booked a sea view room and it was so worth it! No room is too close together so it's very peaceful!

They make eggs and pancakes at breakfast to order so they are always good and always hot!

The island is a perfect retreat and your far enough from town to avoid the craziness of back packers but the hotel will get you there a back for 100 thb each way.

Only downside is the restaurant/bar closes around 9 30. Which feels early although there are other bars in walking distance.

This place should be a 5 star resort. I have no idea why it's not!

Beautiful resort full of nature, the staff were really friendly and the food is really good. We stayed in villa no.2 it was stunning and full of privacy. The sunset sea view of the villa is wonderful. Something that really creeped me was that some crabs were coming inside the villa and to the bathroom
But overall really good experience

Heaven on Earth! The location is a little far from the hotspots in central Koh Tao (not more than 10-15min drive) which is exactly what we wanted. Upon arrival, we found ourselves immediately immersed in nature and greeted with a huge smile by reception, with cold tea and towels. From beginning to end, a wonderful stay. The villa had the most stunning views we could’ve asked for. Spacious and clean, precious room service. The bar and restaurant are a bit tailored to western audiences, but delicious nonetheless. Only 5-10min walking (funny walk) to the nearest town with 7-eleven and ATM. Wonderful taxi service on request for most of the day. We cannot wait to be back!

It's incredible nice how they offer you extra services (bike rental, taxi, snorkeling, ferry tickets, etc) for the same price as negotiating yourselves on the street! Usually it's double price when booking in the hotel, but here they really want you to have an awesome stay!

It's a 10min scooter ride to the pier or nice other bays and viewpoints. The rooms are cleaned everyday, beach towels provided. Potentially lot of stairs to walk between restaurant/beach and your room, hope you are in shape 😉

I'm not leaving reviews very often, but here it's really worth to mention :)

We had the best time at View Point! We came here for our honeymoon and did the Pure Elegance package, and it was absolute perfection. Pool villa 4 was exceptional in the privacy and views, just stunning. The private Longtail boat ride that was included was incredible, taking us to all the snorkel hot spots on our own. The private dinner was top notch, and the massages were fantastic as was the welcome fruit plate and Prosecco. The people working at View Point go out of their way to make your experience the best it can be. Can’t recommend it enough!

The resort is beautifully located on the water and surrounded by jungle, just slightly outside of town. This made it easy to get to restaurants, bars, and shopping, but quiet enough to truly unwind, relax, and enjoy incredible views. Staff was helpful in arranging taxis, motor bikes, etc. We stayed in a seaside villa, in which the room was comfortable (pillows could have been a little softer, but more of a personal preference than anything). Rooms have mosquito nets, which while there were not a lot of mosquitoes (and DET helps), there always seemed to be one sneaking in when we opened the door, so came in handy.

My favourite out of the six places we stayed at recently in Thailand. Everything from the pick up to the food and amazing villa were top notch. I’d recommend a pool villa.

Excelent resort on a quiet " jungle like", with amazing service , breakfast, meals, etc. They provide free transport from/ to pier, buy tickets to everywhere , bike rental too. Spent great days there. Fully recommended.

Very nice location even though a little lost and not easy to access from the road except with taxi/moto. Possible to walk to the main beach but not 100% convenient, count about 10min to reach Assaya Dive Center. Very nice people at the front desk, breakfast ect... We were delighted to stay there.

The main road is steep to the resort, but you can walk to the Main Street via the beach area and the staff would happily assist to let you know, a beautiful and quiet surroundings and lovely atmosphere in the resort with a wide range of rooms on offer.

Worth every penny, the property is beautiful and secluded. You will get free transport both for pick up and return to the pier. So thankful for solo traveller like me who can’t ride a bike. I stayed on beach cottage, it’s spacious, it’s clean and the view from the room is super cool. You can see the view from your bed and I love the big window on the right side. Thank youu so much for all the staffs that made my trip comfortable

***BEST HOTEL ON KOH TAO***

Second time I’ve stayed here, 2018 then 1 night in 2023 as my other hotel was a shambles.

Location, service, cleanliness, ambience, are all 5**, there is no way this hotel should be 3 star.

Breakfast at your room no additional cost, call for drinks / food / massage at room and is there within 15min max.

If you want super peaceful, super high quality service, with the nicest pool villa suites you can imagine, trust me and stay here (If you can book up)

My bf and I stayed here for a week and it was absolute magic! I would argue this is the best location on the island, and the views are incredible. The resort is super accommodating. When I booked we had wanted to stay in the beachfront cottage but it said no availability online so I emailed and was told it was just the first night there was no availability, and that we could stay in the seaview room the first night and then they would move us into the beachfront cottage for the remainder of the stay. The seaview room had an amazing view, however I would absolutely recommend booking the beachfront cottage. It was perfect! The room was super spacious with a cute little deck and beautiful view, and it was a 1 minute walk from the restaurant and pool but still very quiet. All the staff were so lovely and friendly, and happy to help with anything. We were here for our anniversary and the resort added a few special touches for it which was very sweet. You won't be disappointed if you book this resort!

Great resort in the jungles. Staff was very friendly and helpful, resort offers complimentary pick up from/to ferry, which was really nice. Rooms were clean and cozy, breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere was really great. We enjoy our stay a lot. 🌟🌟🌟

Absolutely loved this place. Authentic decoration, very friendly staff. The rooms and location are even more beautiful than in the pictures. Some of the rooms may need updating but the friendly staffs especially Burmese employees there make it totally forgettable. Pet friendly environment and staffs make it even better getaway for pet owners. I have been here for two times and this would be the place for me if I go there again.
