The Briza Beach Resort Khaolak

The Briza is located a few kilometres to the south of the main town of Khao Lak at Lam Kaen Beach. The resort itself is in a prime position, backing directly onto the beach. The little village just outside the resort (two-minute walk) is somewhat of a “sleepy hollow” in the low season, with a number of establishments choosing to close for maintenance, repairs, upgrades or just to save money on costs. What we did find open was sufficient for our needs during our two weeks stay. There were four mini marts (including a 711), massage salons, at least four restaurants (we loved Pearl of Khao Lak) and at least two or three bars. You will also find tailor shops, tour booths, currency exchange booths, a taxi rank and a couple of ATM’s. Notably there is no pharmacy in the village, you will need to go into Khao Lak.
The Briza is split into two parts; on the beach side there are pool view rooms, garden view rooms and ocean view rooms. On the opposite side of the road are the pool access rooms. We stayed in a deluxe garden view room, with a view to the pool, the restaurant, the garden and a decent view of the beach. If your budget allows it we would recommend the deluxe garden view or ocean view, the sunsets over the beach are quite beautiful. Our room was well appointed, large, modern design and bright and airy. We especially loved the large balcony where we often sat for a refreshing drink in the evening. The bathroom has a large shower with strong water pressure and constant hot water. We loved the bath which comfortably fits two people! Oddly enough the sink is located near the front door entrance, very strange but it works. The double bed is very big and super comfortable. There is a work station area to set up a laptop and a good-sized fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a TV with mainly Thai channels; the reception was poor so we rarely watched any TV. WIFI signal was good throughout our stay.
Because of low season at times there may be very few guests so breakfast will be a la carte. When it is busier, they will offer a buffet. From memory during our fourteen night stay we had the buffet ten times. Overall, we were quite satisfied with the quality and variety of food. A special mention to all the staff at Briza, they were really wonderful, friendly and happy to go that extra yard to ensure the guests have a great experience. We can highly recommend this four-star resort and we look forward to returning in the future.

Hotel kept very clean, breakfast there was always plenty of choice and the staff were amazing. A special mention to Boe she was so nice and friendly always refilling my tea.

This place is awesome!
Great pool, great food, clean room, staff are polite and always ready to help.
But what I enjoyed the most was the spa.
This place has a spa that offers authentic Thai massage perfect to soothe your aching muscles. Must try this place

Best hotel I've stayed in within the whole of Thailand. Beautiful facilities, staff are super friendly and buffet breakfast is massive with so much variety. The staff will organise any day trip and tour that you want, we even got a free lift to the bus station when we checked out. Right on the long beach which is perfect for a morning walk.

Quieter part of Khao Lak, clearly still recovering post covid. Hotel value was exceptional, enjoyed the quiet time, the breakfast was very good (I don't usually comment on free breakfast). Nearby restaurants, bars, convenient stores & laundry are walking distance. No regrets staying here for 2 nights.

A great place to stay. The room is spacious enough if youre staying in big groups or big family. A place with friendly staffs and great food!

There was two parts to this hotel. One was across the road with rooms facing each other. We had a sea facing view. It was very quiet when we were there although one night they a lots of Thai people there and they had a party with a group on. It stopped at 10:30 so it wasn't too bad

I love this hotel and have been four times in the last ten years.
The staff are fantastic and can't do enough for you.
My only negative comment would be that the hotel could do with a refurbishment, as in certain areas it's looking a bit tired.

Amazing hotel! Got upgraded and was surprised how great all amenities was. Definately would recommend this hotel. The scenery and shops nearby is also a treat.

Luxury hotel close to the beach. Good service and a very low price in low season. The only thing I can say something is for the bed, very bad quality bed...
Swimming pool excelent and a buffet breakfast very good. The have all the facilities for babies, baby chair, free cribs and kids room... Very satisfied in this experience! ✌

The hotel located in a perfect location, we stay at hotel during vacation, when visiting friends and family, for business travel, and just to get away for a weekend. And I met with an accident because the floor is slippery and my left foot landed wrong as I fell in the hotel road. So maybe you should have a sign or something,

One of the most beautiful beach resorts I have stayed at for a very reasonable price. I had the beach front room , it was very spacious, airy and very well designed. The staff and their service is excellent, my room didnt have a wifi signal due to some problem and they gave me keys to the room next door which was getting a signal for me to do some work to make it up to me.

It was a very nice hotel and the stuff was every time just extremely friendly. I recommend this hotel for everybody. In the near you can find a street food market or a bazar. Really good beaches like the White Sand Beach or the Small Beach. And of course a lot of jungle. :) so I felt comfortable

Beautiful hotel, life music, rooms are very good. All we need is here, tge sea is behind the hotel. The personal are very kind and helpful. Breakfast is good! Pools are clean and comfortable for children.

Superb staff with genuine service mind. The location is good, the room was super clean. I love the bathroom - both tubs snd shower are available. Plus, the lighting in the room was brlilliant. Highly recommend this place.
