Fantastic family hotel. Huge green and leafy complex that never seems crowded or busy. Perfect location for staying in or venturing out.

Staff are so nice. From the front desk to the kitchen staff, everyone is happy and helpful. Food is very good and very reasonable. 3 great pools, plenty of places to relax. Very easy for kids to entertain themselves.

The staff are just amazing!!! We loved loved Wednesday bbq night. I would come back here every time because of the amazing friendly staff who are so cute with our baby and helpful! Thank you to the lovely gift and all the other lovely staff in this picture! I think we will get a bigger room next time as the room we got is a little small but it was very clean and we had a lovely garden view! The staff really make the experience incredible and the food is wonderful! It is not in walking distance to the beach and around 45 min drive to Phuket city but that was perfect for us! They have free shuttles to the beach and will organise taxi service for you.

Truly amazing resort, from the high quality service, facility to location. The staff goes above and beyond to provide the flexibility option customers ask for. The grounds are kept well maintained, despite the fact that the hotel is a bit dated (you can see it from the furniture), but despite this, the grounds / walls are kept well maintained. I can’t speak enough about the services all the staff provide - it is truly one of its kind.

We totally adore this hotel! Everything from the breakfast, the cleaning, the room, the pool, the playroom and the location is great! Perfect if you travel with small children. And the staff is amazing! So helpful, kind and warm. A special thanks to Kla that seriously just light up our days and made us feel so taken care of!!! And also June that held the activities for children. So kind and with patience like an angel. Aoy and Mark we’re also always helpful and nice. Thank you all for making our stay our best vacation ever ❤❤❤

Had the most amazing time and were really looked after by staff at resort special mention to Aoy, Mark, Ngek,Noom, Ton,GIF, Kla, and Jeab the restaurant staff and Lai the concierge at reception and Da our lovely cleaning lady who did a lovely job looking after our rooms. Will recommend this resort to all our friends and family. They did everything to make our stay so enjoyable. We will be back

Staff and customer service excellent. Mark and Kla very helpful in particular. Pools and gardens beautiful, food outstanding. Prices very reasonable. Seasons and pool bar area could benefit from a little spruce up. Pool bar good, especially happy hour 16:00 - 18:00. New Year's Eve party was brilliant. Àll in all a very nice place to stay, definitely would visit again

A fantastic hotel in a good location. Very close to shops and restaurants, free shuttle to the beach. Very good variety of breakfast choices, every day something new to try. I took Thai cooking classes with chef Ngek and it was great fun. We cooked together 4 Thai classics that we could than later enjoy with my family. Highly recommend!
The highlight of the resort is the staff, helpful and very friendly, making our stay exceptional. Special thanks to Aoy, Kla, Mark and Wut who were helping us many times and even bringing a soothing balm when my little one got stung be a wasp. Thank you again, we come back next year.

I don’t normally write reviews..but this hotel and its incredible staff deserve a BIG shout out!!!

My mum and dad (67) and I (32) stayed at the Centara for 4 weeks in total over Christmas and it was an incredibly relaxed, fun and happy stay!! Despite it being such a long time at one place (we were worried about not liking it and being stuck there!), the time flew by as we were so content and happy☺

Caring and Friendly Staff:

We felt extremely comfortable and well cared for. The staff were so helpful and kind, full of energy, positivity and smiles every day. The staff there really did make the stay what it was - the friendly daily conversations over breakfast, personal touches and recommendations, extra accommodating details and services provided - they really looked after us, and it meant a lot to my parents and I, especially as they are elderly and I am vegan. Chef Ngek went out of her way to cook me a personalised vegan breakfast every morning!! (She helped cooking classes too).

A BIG SHOUT OUT to servers Kla, Mark, Oiy and Coach who were such lovely, genuine and friendly people, and who provided efficient and sincere service at breakfast every morning, by the pool, at special events such as Christmas Eve dinner and who even gave my parents a big send off with all the staff there to wave good bye!

Thank you as well to the very capable and competent Manager, Anna, for kindly providing my family with all the well-informed and wonderful recommendations for boat trips, elephant sanctuaries, Muay Thai venues and training centres, restaurants and more.

Location:

In terms of location it was very peaceful and quiet, despite being so close to the bustling centre of Kata town. The hotel is conveniently tucked away just behind the main strip with all the restaurants and markets etc, so everything is right on your door step! We loved visiting the local and popular spa just out the front of the hotel for massages, waxing and nail treatments etc., and there was a popular restaurant right next to it too that had a fanatic menu and accommodated vegans too. SO convenient, especially for my parents who didn’t want to walk too much. Everything’s on your door step! Lots of great restaurants and busy street markets. Even the beach is only a 10 min walk away! The hotel has a shuttle bus to the beach that leaves on the hour every hour so we did that if you prefer not to walk. For us this was ideal!

Facilities:

Rooms were great and in good condition except for a small issue with a faulty telephone and lamp that were quickly taken care off. I liked their green initiative - you got a free drinks token everytime you participated in the scheme by opting out of your daily room clean.

The pools were fab - we sunbathed and swam at the Waves pool most days and drank yummy cocktails and juices there during the Happy Hour 2 for 1 special!

They even had a schedule of fun activities you could get involved in, of which I did some Muay Thai!

HIGHLIGHTS:

Things we enjoyed conveniently whilst there were:
- Watching live Muay Thai at Phuket Boxing Stadium in Patong
- Drinks and sights on Bangla Road
- New Years Eve at Tann Terrace Beach club right near by, by tuk tuk
- Christmas Eve at the provided buffet and entertainment at the Centara hotel
- Green Elephant Sanctuary (Choeng Thale)
- Dinner at The Boathouse restaurant
- 4 island trip from Ao Po pier, to Phi Phi (Maya bay, James Bond Island, and kayaking through caves usually underwater at high tide!)

Overall we had a really enjoyable, relaxed and content holiday that we would highly recommend to other families who are looking for a friendly and convenient hotel in Kata (especially those with kids as the kiddie pool was fantastic too with a slide and fountains, and a bar for mum and dad - there were lots of parents with young children!)

Resort sadly a little tired BUT staff make up for this tenfold.
Many to mention but starting at Lai at the front, always with a smile and helping with our transport. Then there is Da who cleaned our room so expertly.
Last but not least some of the beautiful restaurant staff we have met - Jeab, Mark, Aoy, Ton, Gif, Num and Nick.

Great place to stay. Central to restaurants and bars. 10 minute walk to the beach. The resort provides a shuttle bus to the beach if you choose to. A walk away from food markets and shopping. Breakfast selection was good and fresh. Staff ware very friendly and always helpful. Would stay here again.

Massive thank you to Naan at reception area too where she dropped everything to come and help and assist my daughter when she fainted and went above and beyond to help with everything to make sure everyone was okay. This hotel is very very friendly, extremely helpful, clean and safe, would Highly recommend!!

A really relaxing 7 nights here, as a couple our room was next to the 3rd pool, which was located at the back of the resort. It was peaceful and relaxed.

The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The rooms were great, we would recommend Centara to all, couples and family friendly.

Brilliant resort. Friendly staff, outstanding facilities (3 pools to choose from & more) and delicious meals...there's nothing to complain about.

Staff member Wut Aoy June was absolutely fantastic, his service and manner was 10 out of 10.
We are very happy with this choice and location.

Just returned from a super 4 week holiday at Centara Hotel Kata Beach. Everyone bent over backwards to make our stay a success. The air con was on 24hours and was a haven to come back to, the 3 pools and the happy hours, drinks served cheerfully by Coach, provided a lot of fun and the daily breakfast was superb with Chef Nhek going out of her way to provide vegan options.
The rooms could do with a little updating but we were very comfortable and happy. Anna the manageress instantly fixed any queries or problems, her fluent English making it all very easy. We also hired a car for the duration and had a parking space provided for our use.
I must single out Aoy, Kla and Mark who are all kind caring gentle people who made us feel like family and who we were very sad to leave. We would love to return one day.
Back in England now and it’s freezing and over here nobody smiles in quite the same way. We miss you guys Aoy, Kla and Mark you’re the best!

Had a great time at Centara. The staff were absolutely fantastic. The buffet was really great with so many different options to choose from. Aoy and Mark always offered the best service when getting breakfast. The rest of the staff were always friendly and courteous aswell.

I would definitely recommend it and must go hotel in Phuket .. We definitely keen to return on day ..

Great hotel, 3 pools. Rooms huge. Staff friendly. Mark was such a delight at breakfast every morning. I travelled in my own so he made me feel very welcome. Would definitely stay there again!

My husband & I recently spent 11 days here at the Resort.
Nothing was too hard for the staff & our stay was amazing, they were all so willing to help in any which way they could, from arranging tours, to apps for Taxi services.
Aoy & Mark from the dining room staff - what can I say .. helpful, kind, considerate & amazing people, we looked forward to our morning breakfasts & seeing their smiling faces & asking us daily, if there was anything they could do to help :-)

This hotel has been a great stay. The staff have been overwhelming welcoming and kind to us during our stay. They are always willing to help. Especially Girt and Meaw from the dining and bar areas, they have been so lovely and accommodating and always reminding us about our daily packages. The food at the hotel restaurant has been 5 stars, beautiful fresh food, we have eaten here for most of our meals. They often have buffet meals for dinner which has been a nice touch. The only down side is that the resort is quite a walk from the beach and there is not many other safe eating restaurants close by. The resort could probably do with a slight touch up, however still functioning perfectly fine.
We will likely be back.
