Karon Sea Sands Resort

We loved our stay at Karon Sea Sands in January 2024. It's a small and friendly family-owned hotel with a quiet and mellow vibe. That is, it's not a rocking party joint, but a friendly place to kick back by the pool, walk across the street to the beach, or just chill in the A/C. Rooms are spacious (a bit dated, but perfect for the Karon Beach scene), staff are friendly, and wifi is fast enough. The location is perfect, with dozens of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. It's right on the main beach street, but set back just enough that it's quiet. We'd definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed staying here. Rooms are big, neat and clean. Price was also reasonable. Very easy approach to the beach.

The building is certainly not new but it is well maintained.
The resort has a small parking lot where a dedicated staff manages and coordinates the parking spaces. A small parking lot for a beach front hotel in Pukhet is already a lot.
As soon as we arrived the first impression actually was not good having met a bad welcome at the reception. No greeting, no welcome, for sure no smile from the front desk receptionist (no Thai citizen), the ask for our passport just with a head gesture.
Apart from this episode the staff is very professional and helpful.
The room are spacious and important.... very clean.
The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is big with shower box and bath tub.
The balcony of our room was facing the swimming pool where the tiles on the bottom move a little bit but where the water is clear and clean.
Just outside of the resort, at walking distance, is possible to find many restaurants, shops, 7eleven, pharmacies, etc.
To go to the beach just cross the road.
We also really enjoyed the rich breakfast buffet included in the room price.

Karon Sea Sands Resort is ideally situated just across the road from the beach. We booked through Agoda staying 7 nights in a deluxe room and paid around 7,000 baht. Room was great, spacious, bright and airy with a reasonable sized balcony overlooking the pool. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in, not too firm as they can often be in Thailand. Breakfast was taken in the Irish pub next door and was pretty standard fare. On arrival we were presented with a welcome drink and on entering the room there was also a welcome platter of fruit which was a nice touch. The staff at Karon Sea Sands were very friendly and helpful. There are quite a few restaurants within easy walking distance and a couple of bars just around the corner that have live music in the evening. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend this resort.

We have stayed in this resort for one night only. We had a great experience, from the check in to the check out, staff was extremely welcoming with an high attention to details. Location is great, just a moment away from the beautiful beach of Karon. The resort itself was still in process to re-open all the common areas. Breakfast was included and served in the Irish Pub next to the resort. You have 3 set menu to choose from, overall it was good and tasty. The room was spotless, bigger than average size for a standard double room. Great value for money, definitly suggested!!!

Very friendly staff ... It's a laid back hotel with not many tourists. Many shops are closed, but still have a few nice bars with live band, restaurants and shops. Beach is right across the main road (one minute from Hotel), 7Eleven and motorcycle rental is just around the corner. We shifted here after 2 nights at Patong beach and extended our stays here to 5nights as we like the quiet n slow environment. And yes .. the beach is fantastic!

The was clean, comfortable, quiet, and spacious. It was right by the beach centrally located. The free breakfast buffet was wonderful. Highly recommended and a great value.

We have to say this hotel was fab, from our room to the cleaning staff right up to reception , they simply could not do enough for us. The warm friendly welcome we got all the time was lovely. Everyone had smiles on their face when we were coming and going. Notting was a problem in this hotel. Even the spa nxt door was beautiful would definitely recommend this hotel. Thanks guys for a lovely stay.

I live in Phuket and occasionally have a local vacation and very much enjoy staying here. The staff are tremendously friendly, quick, and helpful. The rooms are really large, spotlessly clean with good amenities. The pool side rooms are especially fun -- easy to pop in and out of the pool with proper balustrades to keep the kids in (or out :-)) if you have any. They also have a large number of cable TV channels in case it rains. There are renovations going on right now, I'm sure they will be done quickly, the team were quick to accommodate our request to change rooms.

This hotel should have been at least 4 star. The room was lovely. The hotel was clean
The garden and pool area was beautiful. Breakfast was good, great variety of Thai and Western foods. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant on the one evening and the food was delicious and inexpensive. The cleaning and restaurant staff were very friendly. I simply cannot compliment the reception desk staff enough. They were amazing from the moment we arrived to the time we left. This hotel is situated across the road from the beach and very convenient.

Great location just opposite the beach with Seven Eleven, Karon circle, restaurants, Forex shops and shops on walking existence just within 500 mtr. The breakfast and food is good, swimming pool is clean, rooms are good in size with additional sofa bed, king size beds, nice washrooms, neat & clean. Staff is courteous & friendly.

Just completed a 2 week stay at Karon Sea Sands and I must say, it was very difficult checking out and leaving. It was certainly a home away from home. The hotel was in a prefect location for restaurants and bars, with the beach directly across the road. Facilities were superb and what a treat it was to be upgraded to a room with direct pool access (thank you Jay). This was one of our best overseas holidays in many years and much of the credit goes to the staff at Karon Sea Sands. They were absolutely amazing and made our holiday so enjoyable. To Jay and the team at reception, the staff at O'Reillys for breakfasts, Josh for transfers, Gopal for pool music, and the wonderful housekeeping staff...a big thank you from the Southwell family for making our holiday so wonderful. You truly are wonderful, we miss you, and we can't wait to return :)

The most what I like at Karon Sea Sands Resort & Spa is their kindness. All the staff said hello whenever they saw me and it's not vexing at all since they really greet you not just a passing-by customer but a friend. You may see that the facilities are aged but it has no torn and worn. What you can see from this hotel are just the styles which have started quite a time ago. It seemed the hotel has been renovated recently. So the wardrobe and bathroom look decent and tidy. I love their maintenance too which makes everything clean and well-organized.
The location of the hotel is just 2~3 minutes away from Karon beach so you can enjoy swimming just across the road. The main street with pubs, souvenir shops, and restaurants are just 5 mins away from the hotel which is good enough to make your room quiet. The breakfast is well-balanced both for western and Asian style. It is a buffet with enough loaves of fresh bread and some of Asian style rice and soup. Fruits and salads are fresh. You can have 6 different types of egg dishes such as eggs benedict, Scrambled eggs and so on. There is a small cooking station just for the egg dishes where the staff is awaiting your order.

We stayed here late September 2013 & found the rooms spacious, clean & inviting. We stayed in 2 pool side rooms & would suggest that you pay a little extra for these if you intend on utilizing the pool during your stay. We did & thoroughly enjoyed the direct access. We also attend a cooking class that the Resort held & recommend that you do this if you like Thai food. We cooked four dishes & the Head Chef & the rest of the staff were fantastic in explaining the ingredients & how they go together. The most I ate during our whole trip. The Resort staff are fantastic & could not do enough for you either at the pool bar, restaurant or the front desk. We will definitely be back to Karon & the Sea Sands

We stayed in what I assume is a standard double luxury room for only a week. The accommodation was very good, huge bed and a great clean and large bathroom. We were able to make tea in the room (English habit) and the WiFi worked perfectly well for email and keeping in touch.
Breakfast was included in our package and the choice was fantastic and more than we needed.
The staff on reception were friendly, helpful and well presented.
The restaurant staff (we only experienced breakfast at the hotel) were even friendlier and keen to make our stay there a great experience.
The hotel is centrally situated and you can easily walk to the beach, shops and restaurants as well as the small plaza market.

The staff are super friendly and welcoming.. the room was done up so nicely, we had a pool access room which was great. The location is really central.. you can just walk to all the places.. beach is also really close by. Definately value for for money

This older resort in Karon Beach is being renovated over the off season. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the pool is good. Take the Thai cooking class. It’s great fun and we two had the chef and a number of staff to ourselves.
. We have used the Orange car Phuket (quickly found in google)twice now and have been very satisfied both times

Great place, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Honestly the best place I've stayed in Thailand related to staff understanding and speaking English. Drinks are well made. Pool is nice. Beach is right across the street, which is nice.
