Wat Somdet Phu Ruea

A very beautiful and educational temple, there are several entrances to go inside different praying areas.
Also some cave-like walkways with paintings and Thai and English educational historical literature about Buddha's journey.

Free to visit. Very beautiful temple. Old and new sections. A lot bigger when you arrive than what it looks like from the highway.

I​ recommended​ you​ to​ park​ your​ car​at​ upstair car​ park​ which​ in​ the​ midst of​ the​ temple.​ So​ you​ toke​ off your​ shoes​ to​ enter each building.​ If​ you​r car parked near​ the​ temple​ entrance.​ You​ had​ to​ take​ off​ your​ shoes​ and​ walked barefoot​ through​out​ this​ tour.​ If​ it​ rained, your​ shoes​ will​ be​ wetted and​ your​ feet are​ dirty.​ This​ temple​ had​ a​lot​ of​ interesting construction​ and​ the​ beautiful​ scenery.

Very big, very beautiful, there’s a hall full of story about the Buddha which is nice. tThis temple alone is worth the trip up the mountain.

Beautiful temple with many Buddha stories

This is an amazing temple in Phurua, it is known as Wat Somdet Phurua Ming Muang. In 2019, there are still construction wokring on around the area back of the temple. The temple located in hill spacious area with a great view.

The way to the temple is quite steep. You can park in the area below and walk up stair or driving up to the back side of the temple and park there. The parking lots are more than enough.

The wooden temple in a high ground you can enjoy the view here. It's very peaceful here.

Luang Por Nippon has developed this beautiful monastery to be a museum.

Spectacular , Builded almostly from woods in Thai ‘s architecture style ,extraordinary wood carving. Many Jade Buddha carvings . Absolutely visit again .

This translates as Wat Somdet Phu Ruea Ming Muang and can be seen on a hill above Phu Ruea, Is is temple with a viharn built of teak wood on a brick base, The carved teak panelling is exquisite and the polished stone Buddha images unbelievable.

Beautiful and unusual temple with great views from there.
