Attraction Tour (Thailand) Co.,Ltd.

I cannot speak highly enough of this company, their attention to detail, thoughtfulness and genuine interest and knowledge of all they do. We had searched for a cruise which overnighted (The Voyager of the Seas). Joey the owner and our guide(educated in Australia) picked us up at Laemchabang Port when we docked at 11am.
Then to The Grand Palace Bangkok where a lovely guide (Laudi) with an extensive knowledge and love of Thai history was waiting to take us straight in, no waiting in lines. You have to see this place to believe it exists, truly amazing.
A very scenic drive to Kanchanaburi where we stayed at U Inchantree resort. Our spacious beautiful room overlooked the Kwae (Kwai) River and Bridge. Joey took us to dinner at an excellent riverside restaurant and chose a great meal for us.
Day 2. After a buffet breakfast with plenty of choice we drove just down the road to the Bridge which is still in use. We touched teak sleepers laid by the POWs still in the line and walked out onto the Bridge.
We were first to arrive at Hellfire Pass at 9am and had no difficulty in descending the shady steps to the track (If you are disabled, arrangements can be made to take you down a path on a golf buggy to the Pass). Walking through the Pass was overwhelming, how those brutalised, diseased, starving amazing men dug through that mountain in 7 weeks with the most basic of tools is very hard to imagine. 700 died during those 7 weeks.
Australians should be very proud that their tax dollars are being spent on such a memorial which the Thai people embrace as they too lost many thousands during the war.
We then went onto the Kanchanaburi Commonwealth War Cemetary where 6900 POWs are buried and there are many names on the wall of those whose resting place is known only to God. In the main Australian, English and Dutch prisoners are buried here, and some New Zealanders and other nationalities that were swept up by the Japanese as they rampaged down through Asia. I believe the bodies of the American prisoners were repatriated.
A quick takeaway lunch and back to the ship at 4pm.
This was an all inclusive tour and I can not recommend Joey and what the tour offers highly enough. Thailand Attractions offers tours to anywhere in Thailand doing whatever you please, young or old.
