I recently had the pleasure of surfing with the instructors at Blue Ocean Surfing, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. Their knowledge and passion for surfing shone through in every aspect of the session. From providing clear instructions to ensuring our safety in the water. Additionally, they went the extra mile by helping us capture memorable moments with their photography skills and offering complimentary wetsuit rentals. I'm giving them five stars for their exceptional service!

Great experience! I’d surged before a few times but it had been a year since I last surfed so decided to get a lesson. One instructor spent half an hour with me close to shore helping me get comfortable again. Then another instructor took me out further into the ocean to practice paddling and catching bigger waves. Unfortunately it was a bit too windy so we came back closer to shore. But throughout the entire time the instructors were very patient and helped me a lot.

A nice bonus was they even helped me take photos for free!

Staff:
friendly and can speak basic English. Prices are reasonable.

The price:
surfboard for the full day including wetsuits and table under the big umbrella is only 500TWD per person. Really cheap.

Winter:
Because during the winter season, the water flow changes, Wushi may be not the best spot, but that’s not a problem cause that surf shop can provide you with a transfer to the nearby beaches, where it might be more fun (like Shuang Shi or Nan Ti).

Qualification:
they can provide skilled coaches if you are looking for a one to one lessons. The all have approved certificates and can speak english.

Place:
Wushi harbor or also they call it Bei Ti is apparently the best surfing spot among those close to Taipei. If we talk about summer season then it’s is the best spot.

Great place to learn surfing! The instructor we had (Zoe) was super nice, perfect English, explains everything really well and got us to feel really confident to catch those waves!

Had a great experience as a beginner surfer here. Victor was an excellent teacher and overall great guy. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to try surfing to go here.

Terrific surf teachers, really nice staff, VERY reasonable prices (especially considering what others nearby offer). They have umbrellas and chairs set up at the beach to chill under, free with the rental. They also sell water etc for the same prices as the convenience store (ie super cheap). Also I’m a big guy and they had a board my size. Overall great experience, definitely recommend!

Was surprised to see a surf shop with 4.9 stars, assumed it was just some locals helping out their friends. I was blown away. I showed up just trying to rent a board for a couple hours. Noticed all the kids had wetsuits on, which confused me since the water was supposedly high 70s F. They threw me a wetsuit no questions asked and it ended up a lifesaver due to the wind and rain. Then, one of the boys said he would take me to the break. I had assumed I could just walk from there. Instead, I hopped on the back of his scooter and he drove me five minutes down the beach to the proper peak. No charge. He said to just let him or his boss know when I was done and they would give me a ride back to the shop (they had some umbrellas set up). When I got back to the shop, I asked for some lunch recommendations before heading out. My english was misinterpreted, and one of the boys handed me a sandwich from their mcdonalds they were eating at the table. I was shocked, and said that was not necessary, I was just looking for recommendations. I then mentioned I needed to go to the bus station to go back to Taipei. They said there are plenty of restaurants around the station, so that is perfect. They said it is only a 5 minute drive, and insisted on giving me a ride. Turned out that was huge since the walk would have been 3 miles. Again, no charge at all, and the boy who gave me a ride was not even working there, just hanging out since he worked there last summer. All in all, I was blown away at the host of services and help I got for what I expected to be a simple board rental. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.
