One of the best restaurants I can recommend is "Istanbul". It has very friendly owners and offers authentic Zanzibar cuisine. The restaurant is known for its hospitality and excellent service. At "Istanbul", you can enjoy a wide variety of dishes, including meat, fish, and vegetable options, as well as delicious appetizers and desserts. The atmosphere in the restaurant immerses you in the local culture, creating a cozy and warm environment. "Istanbul" is a great place to try authentic Sanzibar cuisine and experience the hospitality of the owners.

The perfect place to watch the sunset with a delicious drink in your hand. The service does not spare the customers a smile as well as the alcohol in the drinks ;)

Co-owner of the Istanbul is a Turkish guy from Kemer/Antalya. He is a genuine gentleman. Food is great. Atmosphere is great. The closest facility to ocean. Price/Quality balance is well done. He even ordered free french fries for us as a gesture. Toilets are the cleanest we saw during our trip to Zabzibar. Best place on Nungwi👌

I can recommend you the "Istanbul restaurant", with elements of African design is located on the beach of the Indian Ocean and you can admire the stunning sunsets with dinner. The restaurant is big, very cozy and romantic. It is very delicious.

On Tuesdays and Fridays from 22:00 the restaurant turns into a club place and, in my opinion, this is the best party in the city.

And the main plus is the owners of the restaurant who treat new visitors with soul and heart and through them you can organize whatever you want and at a price lower than others.

I strongly recommend you to come here because the time spent in this restaurant has a good sense of celebration.

A great beachside restaurant and bar. The staff were friendly when we visited and one can swim on the side of the beach where it is located which is very clean. It is close to many other activities and shops and located in a busy and tourist friendly part of Nungwi, Zanzibar.

Very good option for sunset and dinner. Right on the beach and has amazing views in the evening, but at the same time noone tries to sell you anything while you're eating. Interesting food with a Turkish twist. The staff was accomodating and nice. Recommended!

We spent 5 nights in Nungwi and came here for three of them! Great staff, yummy food (try the adani Turkish kabobs) and good shisha! Party is here after 10pm twice a week. One night the owner even invited some talented local dancers/acrobats to come into the main floor rather than performing on the beach and they put on a really cool show for us! We didn’t stay late as we were traveling with our baby who’s just learned to walk and the owner and staff were really sweet about letting him toddle around as we watched the sunset and enjoyed the shisha.

The restaurant has a spectacular view of the sunset overlooking the clear blue waters. The food and drinks were great. I was having dinner alone and the manager (I suppose) was very keen to make sure I was comfortable and attended to. Great customer service. Would definitely go back when I'm in Nungwi again.

Well, we really appreciate our stay in this restaurant. Perfect to eat fresh seafood, the Chef did nice dishes for us. The manager Bato aka Ricky Martin was a super nice person. He made us feel like at home. The location of the restaurant give you the opportunity to have a beautiful view on the sea and you can enjoy the sunset there. This restaurant has been our crush of the day. For sure we will be back soon
