14 листопада 2018 року, в день пам’яті Святих чудотворців і безсрібників Косми і Дам’яна, Високопреосвященний владика Ігор, Архиєпископ і Митрополит Львівський, звершив Чин освяченння новозбудованого дерев’яного храму у місті Пустомити. Архиєрей освятив також Престіл храм, вклавши в нього мощі блаженного священомученика Миколая Чарнецького.

Опісля, навоосвяченому престолі владикою було звершена перша Архиєрейська Божественна Літургія у співслужінні численного запрошеного духовенства. По завершенні молитви, головний будівничий храму о. Юрій Чудяк, адміністратор парафії Успіння Пресвятої Богородиці в м. Пустомити, який одночасно виконує уряд Синкела у справах духовенства Львівської Архиєпархїі, висловив слова щирої вдячності Митрополиту за ласку освячення цієї святині.

About Pustomyty
City in Ukraine

Pustomyty is a city in Lviv Raion, Lviv Oblast of Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Pustomyty urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: 9,372. For centuries Pustomyty belonged to Ruthenian Voivodeship, Kingdom of Poland. In 1772 it was annexed by the Habsburg Empire, where it remained until late 1918. In the Second Polish Republic, Pustomyty was part of Lwów Voivodeship. Pustomyty is a small town located in south-western outskirt of Lviv city. It is the administrative center of Pustomyty district. The town lies on the intersection of railway line Lviv-Stryi-Chop and local road T-1416 Lviv-Medenychi. The earliest mention of the settlement in official documents is dated by 1441. “Pustomyty” title most likely has the geographical origins. source
