I never write reviews, but all I can say is WOW! I had blood drawn at labs on Tuesday morning March 21st. Let me just say I wish I would have gotten this angels name! If you ever get blood drawn here I hope you get her, she had short blonde hair. First no one ever gets blood from me the first poke it’s unheard of. It’s usually 4 pokes both arms and hands, digging, a blown vein, and a vein finder later that they finally get it.( I want to follow that with this is my first time here all other experiences were with military medical) She got it first time and it was painless. I didn’t feel anything. I had my 2 year old daughter with me that day, and she gladly took care of the both of us. She pulled a chair up for her and answered all of her little toddler questions about what was happing to mommy. She even completed our visit by giving us matching bandaids ❤

The nurses and doctor were very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the time that they took to listen to me explain all of my ailments and then address each of them individually. I really felt like I was heard and taken care of. Thank you Parkview Dekalb Hospital Staff! ❤

The staff in the ER are so exceptional. Twice in two different situations of life and death this hospital has left our family in awe. Larger hospitals could not find the problem and sent the family member home. We took the one to Dekalb ER and they found she was having acute heart issues. That was 5 years ago. 2 weeks ago we took another family member there to Dekalb and found he had a blood infection. Larger hospitas couldn't find anything and he has been fevering since February. I am proud to say I live in Dekalb County with such a great hospital and staff. Thank you all for what you have done for our family.

I generally don’t write reviews but after reading so many negative reviews for Parkview Dekalb I was moved to share my endoscopy/colonoscopy experience.
I arrived for my procedures at 7:15 am. I have to say the staff from registration to the wheelchair ride out the door was top notch…couldn’t have been better! I was very pleased with every step of my appointment.
Dr Kanuru the Dr that did my procedure is very kind and really listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. I felt safe, heard and was in no way rushed.
I have severe sleep apnea so going under Anesthesia is a riskier endeavor for me than it is for many people.
The staff took extra precautions and the anesthesiologist talked to me before the procedure to make sure I was good to go and would have the safest possible experience.
Based on my experience I would 100% recommend Parkview Dekalb.
I really felt like I was in good hands when I was there through every step of the process.
Thank you to all the staff..Dr Kanuru.. My nurse.. the anesthesiologist.. technicians. You made a experience that I was nervous about a great experience. I appreciate each and every one of you!

I visit the lab often for routine blood draws and I always have a pleasant experience. I once visited the Walk-in Clinic when experiencing a blood sugar crash and the staff was very helpful. They took the time to make sure I got what I needed as well as understood my follow up care. I felt well taken care of.

My husband and I went to DeKalb Health ER on Saturday 2/16 after an auto accident. We did not have to wait at all after we arrived, they took us right back to our rooms and we were evaluated immediately. We received excellent care from Dr. Dykstra, Lisa, Cara and Judy. Although they got really busy after we arrived they were still attentive to us and thorough with our care. And it is not because I work at DeKalb, only one of the nurses knew that. Great Job DeKalb ER!

I was seen in the ER in timely caring manner. The ER was busy though the night and getting follow up care took some time. When I finally got to see Dr. to review all xrays that she ordered, the time to get dismissed went fast. All the staff is very professional and caring.

This place is amazing, not many people love being admitted at the hospital, I know. I don’t but the staff here has been so kind, understanding and patient. I couldn’t thank them enough for talking all my concerns seriously and helping figure out what was wrong. After coming from a different place that was horrific, this place is such a breath of fresh air. Thank you so much parkview!

Had to take my mom to the ER this past Sunday night she had been really sick for awhile and could not get any answers on what was wrong with her from the Family Dr. We got to the ER and the nurse Bryce came and got her started asking questions next thing Dr came right in(Dr Clark) and started putting IV’s getting tons of labs and CXR and Ct scan and had an answer for us. I can’t thank you enough Dr Clark you saved my mom’s life with your quick reaction to her care. And thank you Bryce for taking good care of her also.

I received my ultrasound report by the end of business hours on the same day of my ultrasound. The patient registrar area was well organized & I was seen in a very timely manner from the time I walked in the doors until my ultrasound had been done. The lady that performed my ultrasound was thorough & explained what she will be doing and if she needed to take more pictures.

The quick response to my condition impressed me greatly. The staff that does the preliminary work was right there and very effective. As soon as the completed there job the Doctor came in and made his diagnosis and I was relieved of my itching from a Hive episode. My stay in the emergency room was about three hours. Thanks to the nurse Kristy (sp) who go things going very quickly, and her assistant.

Everyone was so nice and easy to deal with. They were professional and seemed to really care. They were very thorough with the tests and quick. I've been in other places when you're there all day waiting someone to get you for a test. I really appreciate the speed and efficiency. Everyone was great here and I know I was in good hands and had nothing to worry about.

I recently had an MRI at DeKalb Health and it was a great experience. Everyone treated me like I was their priority and the entire process was very comfortable. This hospital has a great group of caregivers who truly do care! Highly recommend!

High tech, exceptional care combined with caring, compassionate staff close to home. I had both of my kids in the birthing center and was amazed by the care and space. Both of my boys were slightly 'high risk' as they tried to arrive early and the team and care were exceptional!

I received very satisfactory care on 3 different occasions over the past year. None of these visits were life threatening circumstances. The nurses and Dr's each time did not make me feel rushed with the care they gave me. They also took extra measures to be certain I understood my treatment and instructions.

Doctor Burton was wonderful. He didn't remember me, but that is because they must not have had all my records in the system yet.
He made sure that everything that was taken care of tho. and I was so happy after I left knowing that he was truly concerned about my needs.
Thank you again Doctor Burton and his staff.

The labor and delivery ward are very well managed, well equipped, and comfortable. The rooms are twice to three times the size of Parkview North with several rooms containing tubs that are available for water births if desired (highly recommended). As far as I know DeKalb is the only hospital in the area that allows full water births (as opposed to just labor in the water) although perhaps that will change when they merge with Parkview but I hope not.

The nurses were very calm, efficient, and kind- especially Sara and Cassie. They both went above and beyond to help make my son and I as comfortable as possible. They were not only very knowledgeable and competent, but you could feel how much they cared for and saw you as a person.

My son was delivered by a midwife and her care was exceptional as well. She did a great job encouraging and supporting throughout the labor in addition to the medical aspects.

The food delivered to your room in terms of health and taste leaves something to be desired (Parkview North trumps Dekalb in this area).

I have been to many hospitals and overall the majority have dehumanizing aspects- DeKalb has worked hard to be the opposite and I appreciate it.

I went to the lab at DeKalb Health yesterday for a blood test that I get every six months. They were very busy, but I was amazed at how quickly , efficiently, and cheerfully they worked at each step of the process. My total time there was only about 20 minutes.
