IHC did a great job! It was nice they worked around our schedule during the holidays. The painter did a walk-through of all the rooms at the end to ensure everything met our expectations. We would definitely work with them again.

This crew did a TON of work for us in Ankeny. We had our home appraised right before they started the work and immediately after. Our home increased in value well over the amount we invested in it. I think that's a fairly good indicator of their work and commitment. Sean was the lead throughout our experience, and Nick was here often. The comprehensive work they did included: a complete kitchen remodel, including countertops, cabinets, backsplash, reconfiguration, etc.; 10 canned lights; upstairs flooring, including stairs/entrance; trim & doors throughout the home (24 doors total, including closets); a LOT of painting; ceiling fans; install shelving; carpet removal. We had a pretty good idea as to what we wanted to do with our home but they were helpful in terms of making suggestions and helping us save $ where we could. Most importantly, they were true to their estimate! They remedied any and every concern that we had to our satisfaction & at no expense to us. I can't imagine what it would have cost had we gone through some of the other contractors we had accepted bids from! We will hire them again. They are youthful and we enjoy their energy. They are affordable, courteous, and have some good ideas. I wish I had taken more photos, but I did attach a before/after of our kitchen. It was SO small & the space is now opened up & feels like a different home. These guys truly helped us shape our concept and bring it to life.

IHC painted my house and another house I own. Their employees obviously take pride in their work. They maintained a clean job site throughout the project, scraping both houses, priming, and finish painting. Excellent work on both houses, we couldn't be happier with the final result. They also built new steps on the other house. We will will definitely use them on future projects.

Very timely for arrival and did a great job, even coming back with new caulk a week later when the original didn't quite match.

We had the company repair ceiling and wall drywall that was result of a roof leak. Excellent customer service and the job they completed was done with high quality!

IHC did a fantastic job updating our kitchen - flooring, cabinets, back splash, installing new appliances as well as putting in 2 new doors and in-set lighting in another room in our home.
Construction staff were polite, answered all questions, fixed things that were not quite right, and above all, showed up did the job, checked it, worked well with the companies they use for electrical work, and were done.

They did a great job on our bathroom remodel! Matthew helped us choose materials and get the whole project set. Nate transformed our bathroom with his skills. This company is unique in that they are contractors who care—they don’t no show, they are on time, they explain the process, and they get the job done and follow through. The crew was all very friendly too.

Iowa Home Consulting provided a fair estimate for the work we wanted done. They did the work on time, did high quality work and charged the same amount as their estimate, despite fluctuations in supply prices.
We will have them back for more home repairs later this year!

We appreciated the repairs in our basement shower. Dry well done and now it functions as it should. Plumbing needed to be replaced as well as concrete and tile. The repair work that needed drywall and paint was efficiently handled. It was in a tough spot that seemed impossible to fix, but Curt did a great job. At the same time there was a hole from roof leakage and he patched that as well. Thanks SO much!

Iowa Home Consulting installed laminate floors for us in 3 bedrooms. We had to wait a few months to get on their schedule, but once we got them the work was done very professionally and we love our new floors. There were a few things that needed to be fixed as with any construction project and the team took care of this promptly and made sure we were happy with the work. The team members were pleasant, positive, polite and always cleaned up after themselves. I will request work from them again and would recommend them to anyone in the Ames area.

I have used Iowa Home Consulting for a wide variety of jobs, from cleaning my gutters, to placing down ceramic tile flooring, seeding my yard, fixing my storm door, hauling away debris, and installing light fixtures. They have also done a complete remodel of my mudroom.
I have never had a complaint with the quality of their work and they are fair with what they charge. I plan to continue using Iowa Home Consulting for all my home construction and handyman needs.

I have used them several times to do odd jobs in my home, replace a mail box, install flooring, and carry away trash, as I get ready to put my house on the market. Iowa home consulting- Matthew and his crew are tremendous. We used them a year ago for work and then needed them now to get some work done under time constraints. The drywall repairs and painting we had done were completed quickly and the quality of the work was outstanding. Very pleased with the work. I felt the price for the work we had done was fair and a good value. We also had IHC arrange some plumbing services to move/replace a toilet and the plumber they worked with also did an outstanding job and had the work completed quickly. I highly recommend IHC.

It had a been amazing working with this crew. They have done about 5 general repairs for me and I am always impressed by the result! It can be so difficult finding the right person to do repairs but you can never go wrong with this company.
