Richard was friendly and so helpful! Normally the post office is a hellish experience, pardon my french, but he made it efficient and even partially enjoyable. Super competent at his job and a nice guy on top of it. Thanks again, Richard!

There was no line and the employees were super friendly and helpful! I tend to dread my trips to the post office, but this one was actually quite pleasant.

Not sure why it has such a low rating ! I am speechless at the customer service i received from this location. I will only ever return to this location. I came here around 5 one day hoping to be quick , in and out to ship out two items. Linda helped me pick the most affordable option, and was super sweet. When I went to pay, my card wasn’t working and they closed at 530. I called my bank and it was something they couldn’t fix until the next day since it was so late. It was now 530 and i felt horrible for taking up this woman’s time as well as everyone else working. They were so patient with me, as i apologized and told her I could just come to ship them tomorrow. She explained that I would have to re package everything if I did come back. She then offered an alternative option, i don’t want to say, but this woman was willing to personally do me a favor. a complete stranger! I was surprised, but after some reassurance, she told me i could come back the next day to return back what she had done for me. I was so grateful and happy. I went back today, and waited in line, and spoke to her and returned the favor. She was so happy, as well as the other workers. Such a sweet, down to earth woman. I have never met a stranger so giving and caring. I have no words to describe the way I feel toward this woman, such a kind gesture and warm hearted woman. and made me so happy and feeling grateful there are people like her left in this world. As well as the other workers, Two women were there and they were very sweet as well. Whatever these people are getting paid , is not enough ! I wish the best for these people and hope their acts of kindness don’t go unnoticed.

I had such a positive experience here that I had to leave a review. I came to renew my passport on the week that just so happened to be the first week the students were back on campus, but the representative who works with me was so pleasant and knowledgeable. He was able to answer all my questions regarding processing time, and did so with a smile!

I had a great experience at this post office. I've never sent an overnight shipment before, and the staff was such a big help. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. I went right before a pretty intense lunch rush, so if you can get there during off-peak hours, you'll probably have a better time. I also appreciated that the staff was wearing PPE, and that there was hand sanitizer available near the entrance/exit.

Every employee I’ve engaged with at this post office is such a pleasure to be around. They are friendly and eager to help pick the best method for mailing. I imagine it must get busy here as it’s the only post office downtown and with all the Yale students picking up books and packages — but these folks handle it well. Bob especially is such a hero. Thank you for providing this essential service!

I have come here often to shop items and/or ask mail related questions. Bob is very friendly and helpful! Plenty of room to bring your package and finalize before sending off. They have cards (birthday, wish you well, etc), boxes, and much more!

They were not that bad. Actually, they were really good. This was one of the quickest I've been in and out of a post office. The ladies were super friendly and even kind of funny. I was helped with exactly what I needed. After reading other reviews I was actually nervous to go here, but upon arrival, I was pleasently surprised to not be treated rudely in the least.

Direct, courteous, and efficient. My experience at this post office was beyond amazing. The clerk gave me my options for shipping and it was as simple as that. Definitely coming back if needed!

Always really nice and helpful.

I came by near closing with over twenty packages, half of which were international. They stuck around, helped me sort out the forms and everything even though it ended up taking some time after closing, and were super friendly and helpful.

The staff were not thrilled about my having sent packages to myself from across the country via general delivery (which FYI is not allowed at this PO - didn’t know but do now!) but they didn’t give me a hard time and were patient while I lugged them out (four in total).

The staff is always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They deal with students that are totally unfamiliar with US mail service and yet they are always patient. Bob is a gem!!

This post office is super convenient for me and they are always very nice....since I've lived in new haven this is were I go to mail things and pick up stamps ect...

Been using their services for years. It gets backed up at the start of semesters bc Yalies are ordering and receiving all of their textbooks, but they do their best.

Not sure why people are saying the staff here are rude... because I’ve lived in the town for 7 years and find the staff to be pleasant! On many occasions they went above and beyond to help me.

They are supposed to be open only 9a-12p on weekends but they weirdly are always open longer than that. beyond that, this place is a pretty typical post office, i suppose

I shipped multiple packages in 2020 from this post office and everyone there were always extremely helpful and kind. My favorite post office.
