Hector Falls Parking

Nice little trail. The falls are interesting.

Something to keep in mind : The start of the trail is down slope. So going back is all uphill.

There are a few arrow signs late in the trail. May benefit from some distance markers.

They have a red mushroom growing at the bridge.

Worth it! Driving to the falls, you'll wonder if you're on the right road, but just stick to the navigation. Depending on the season, you'll likely be better off having some kind of AWD vehicle. We went in spring, during a steady rain storm that had lasted for days, so the dirt road was pretty mucky (but fun in a Subaru). The parking lot area is about large enough for 2 to 3 vehicles. There is a bit of a walk down into the falls. It will take you about an hour or so. You cannot drive directly to the falls. The path itself is wide and easy to follow for the majority of the way. The path does narrow and enter into the woods for the last part of the hike. You'll come upon the top of the falls first, and you can walk down to the bottom. It was honestly magical and so worth the hike in the rain and mud. I felt like a fairy would pop up at any minute. Beautiful.

Nice moderate downhill walk to the falls on a well maintained path. Lots of mushrooms for the foragers to search for. Definitely an enjoyable experience.

Very nice falls. Hike from the parking area is about 1 mile and is fairly easy. Parking area is marked with an HF painted on a tree.

Nice hike! About a mile out. Was not a very difficult hike... We really enjoyed the hike!

The total hike to the waterfall is about 1 mile.

Park at the gate and walk down the path until you reach a fork in the road, and bear to the left. (The hill will get steeper)

Keep walking until you reach a small oil tap sticking out of the ground. The path continues straight to the right (2 o'clock position)

Follow the path downstream of Hector's creek until you reach the waterfall (appx 5 minutes of walking)

Small parking spot for the trail to Hector falls. No complaints, the road in was not that badly kept either so it was easy access.
