We had a great time here! Ended up staying an extra night, and just reserved another weekend later this month.

There are a few waterfront accesses if you aren't in a site on the reservoir. There is also a clean beach with a cement ramp into the water (no rocks, predictable depth). There is a decent boat launch/dock, and the whole bay is no wake so kayaks do fine.

Facilities are kinda...."rustic" hah. Showers are not very good. Electric was out of service for most sites. The playground is closed and looks haunted. I saw a project summary for a future update/upgrade to the whole campground that would solve these issues. Hopefully they get started soon.

Ice is $2 per bag. Firewood is $10 for 12 pieces. Some was wet. Bring a splitting axe and grab the large chunks, double your wood.

The closest store is Paul's trading post, like 5 mins away. They have a variety of necessities, propane fills, and some rentals. Support local business hehe. Beyond that Kane is 10 mins away (~15 min total). .

There was barely 1 bar of Verizon service at the site. But as you get closer to the water bars improve. I got 3 bars down at the beach.

Some sites are smaller/larger from what they appear in the pictures. Choose carefully. We stayed in #86 which looks large in the picture, but is kinda smallish, graveled, and on slight slope. Everything fit though. Next trip we reserved #70 which looks small in the picture, but is actually huge and flat.

Overall it was a great experience!

The cleanliness, lack of litter, grafeti tell you about the caliber of people that come to and maintain the area. Truly a magical peaceful place that has not been abused by the masses. The locals will actually reciprocate a good morning and make eye contact with you. Great job by the Forestry service here. You have to pay use the beaches but it weeds out the scum.

I’ve only used the boat launch a few times but thought I would mention some details. A small fee worth paying is required if not staying at the campground, nice ramp, nice large dock, and ample parking.

Been coming here since I was a kid. (40+years). Campgrounds are great. Especially the ones along the water. The beach doesn’t get as much use at it did years ago, but should. Not sure if the bathhouse is open during the summer months, so that might be why. Great area for hiking, kayaking, and biking. There’s a boat launch and plenty of space for fishing along the banks. A nice scenic drive along the byway. Be sure to visit Jakes Rocks while you’re in the area.

Just returned from a 2 night stay and I enjoyed it very much. The area had received lots of rain in the past few weeks and we managed to pick a couple days with no rain. Needless to say, it was muddy, thanks to Mother Nature, but I could tell the sites are well maintained with plenty of privacy. The campground host, Carl, was very helpful and his wife was a delight.

The staff worked late (until around 9PM in the summer) and gave us great recommendations for choosing a campsite. We stayed dry in our tent during a thunderstorm, so they did a good job planning our gravel tent site. As others mentioned, the hot water for the showers could be improved. They worked, but every three minutes, you need to press the button that is just out of reach from the shower.

I've been tent camping at Kiasutha since the early 90's. Love it here! Lots of privacy between sites; lots of trees and brush in between. Great Campground Hosts (Dan R. and his wife do a great job, very friendly and helpful). Nice clean stocked bathrooms. Always peaceful with respectful campers. Never had a problem here with noise. It seems everyone else is here for the same reason - to get back to nature and relax.

Great campsite! The premium sites are pretty nice and roomy. We fit 2 8ppl tent with lots of space. Very isolated from other campsites with trees in between. Restrooms are as clean as they can get. It is hard to get phone signal there and you have to drive a bit to get a good signal...I was able to go by the lake open area and get 1ish bar; it is great to not be on the phone while camping...so no signal was not a problem for me.

Awesome people beautiful lake, boats could respect kayakers a lot more but the lake itself is awesome and camping has plenty of trees for hammocks and shade!

A great campsite with loads of room per suite. Not all sites are level but not too crazy. Easy to think you're the only ones about.

I was able to launch my canoe and park in a spacious area. There are many camping areas, and the lake is huge!

Beautiful view, peaceful surroundings. Swim or play games with family, then have a picnic at one of the tables.
