The Trim Scene

I have seen a lot of trim scenes during my illustrious time in Humboldt County and have to give them props for doing it right! Got a nice trim today Gonzo Lives!

I've been a walk-in customer for years. I've never had a bad haircut, despite having no preference for a hair stylist. The regularity, combined with the simplicity of no scheduling (optional, appointments can be booked), is what keeps me going back.

This place is phenomenal. Good prices and great hairstylists. They work with your vision. Cameron is amazing! I am so pleased with every haircut I get from here :)

Nice little place. Was able to do a walk in but it was also during the middle of the week and 2pm. Reasonably priced and my stylist, she did a good job. Nice to find a good place like this on the road

Serena makes me feel like the baddest baddie in all of Humboldt County 😎 Both times I’ve seen Serena, she not only does exactly what I ask for, but she exceeds my expectations with her skills—she envisions and crafts a haircut in a way that’s way more beautiful than I could have imagined in my head! Serena transforms my long and dense hair from thick, straight hair weighed down by gravity—to bouncy layers that frame the face and create volume. Serena is fun to talk to and is truly talented in her profession. I look forward to doing all of my haircuts with her here on out.

I had hair down to my lower back and wanted it all cut for donation. I chose this establishment because of other reviews that implied it is a none judgmental environment. Well I scheduled an appointment online with Sarah who made this a wonderful experience. My decision as a woman to buzz cut my hair was respected, she knew how to section my hair off for donation, gave me a recommendation for who to donate to, and simultaneously didn’t take up too much of my time. The price was good, environment relaxed, and I felt welcomed. I plan to return for future haircuts now that I am rocking a wonderful buzz cut.

I’ve had Brittney cutting my hair for a while and she always does a great job. She listens to what I want, advises me on what’s possible, and always has me feeling fresh. Sometimes there’s a wait but she’s ABSOLUTELY worth it. Thank you, Brittney!

I was little confused about the nearby parking lots, but I found street parking. Walked in and although it was a full house, didn’t wait too long. Got a great haircut for a good price

Tidy and great looking spot with style and a warm feeling. Great staff ready to work on your hair needs. Love Aubrey she knew what we wanted and used great products after the cut.

Amazing place to get a haircut. Cost $35 but damn was it well worth it.

Everyone has tats, playing some of that old school emo and punk music, and they also offer you beer when you walk in. What more could you want.

Made an appointment with Sarah for a salon dry cut. Had an amazing experience from start to finish! I was nervous because I hadn’t had a professional haircut in almost three years (after a bad experience) but she made me feel so comfortable and was so sweet with my two year old who was with me! The overall environment was clean and covid safe but the best part was Sarah being so kind and making me look and feel my best!

I've had my last few hair cuts at trim scene and I've had 3 separate stylist each time and each time they have all given me exactly what I wanted! I love the vibe and the decor,makes for a fun and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend for a same day or walk in salon!

Ever try to give haircuts to preschool-aged twins? Imagine that for a moment: one hyperactive, the other entirely anxious. Now think about how long that would take you.

Arielle knocked these cuts out in a half-hour flat and even offered to give their little sister a 'princess braid' on the house (sadly she was too shy to take Arielle up on the offer).

The cuts are crisp, the prices fair, and the service was immaculate.

The haircuts are a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it as the person cutting your hair takes the time to do a nice job. The folks here are always courteous, helpful and friendly. They are taking COVID19 seriously, and the shop is always clean. I have been here three times, and it is my new place for haircuts. I would highly recommend this business.

I’m always skeptical getting a haircut at a new place but they were awesome. I can’t remember the ladies names but everyone there was so very kind and the lady who cut my hair did a really good job with very little direction from me. Highly recommend.

I screwed up and didn't bring enough cash and the staff were kind enough to let me go to an atm nearby. I'm very happy with my haircut, and the place was clean and looked nice
