I go with my daughter she's in the army there's everything sauna and steam room as well as swimming pools basketball courts I enjoyed it.

Great gym, my son loves the open swim time! Great pool, lazy river, and toddler area! Lifeguards are super friendly

Kids had a great time at the polar pool. The number of lifeguards was phenomenal. I’m appreciative that they make the kids do a swim test to know they have good swimmers in the deep end of the pool. Lots of places for a little kids to play. Price was phenomenal. Highly recommend overall.

Pretty good gym. Variety of equipment. The self-powered treadmills are my fave. They keep it clean! Currently, you need to make reservations to use the pool. They have a capacity limit on the GYM as well, so be prepared to wait if you go during peak hours.

Great area for military members to exercise with a wide range of options

Has a great variety of machines and rarely gets crowded

They have a clean and well set up gym. There are family areas, an are for crossfit type workouts, a row of squat racks, above there is a running/walking track, pool looks nice and there is also a spin class type room... never used it so not sure of the deets. I really enjoy it. Huge place.

So I’ve been to most of the places you can go in the military, around the states and overseas. This is the best gym, that isn’t specific to a SOF unit, I’ve ever been to. It has all the equipment.

It’s kept in good order and staffed most of the day. It has 24 hour badged in access too. This gym wins it. I wish I was up here longer to start building full in depth workouts using all the equipment.

Whoever thought of this as an investment was a good leader. Keep your joes motivated to workout. The military can afford one of these on every base and should make that investment with the new ACFT being implemented.

They have an entire indoor turf set up to run the acft indoors on a standardized course. You could even do the 2 mile run on the indoor track if you really had to.

We absolutely love going to the Paradise Pool with our kids and friends.

What can I say that you don’t already know, right? Great gym, even greater customer service. I love the 24 hour access, swimming schedule and pool availability. The huge selection of cardio and strength equipment is really nice making it so you don’t have to wait in line to get a workout in. I recently found out that there’s even tanning. I am gonna have to give that a try.

My son and I really enjoyed the toddler swim lessons here. They did a great job teaching and really working with the kids, each and every one individually. Learned some great skills for both my son and myself! We will definitely be back for more later on. I have not used Buckner for anything else though.

This gym has everything! All the equipment is in good condition and good operating order. From basketball courts to a fitness pool, a family pool, CrossFit equipment, day rentals, all the cardio equipment you can think of, an indoor walking/running track and more. The facility is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. The only downside, as of Nov 2018, the main locker rooms have been under construction more than they haven't been so the pool locker room becomes the default. But when they were open in the spring/summer, they were new and everything you could ask for.

It was my 1st time going to the Buckner fitness center today and overall I had an awesome experience. I felt Comfortable. Don't be shy. 🤟🏾
If you do not have 24/7 access they open exactly at 5:00am so don't show up any sooner then that as you will be waiting. 🤦🏾

10/10 I married a servicemember just for access. (What, BAH and Tricare? Never heard of them until we got married sweety).

Well and he wanted to get out of the barracks lol.

Edit: no longer have access since he caught me with my best friend Jodie. But I get half his stuff, half his income for life, and half his pension! What a great deal!

Oh and when I won my court case (because I hired a fancy lawyer and he didn't "to save money") he had to pay my attorneys fees anyways!

Our battalion (HHC) is almost always here every morning for PT. It's always clean and the equipment is well taken care of considering how many people use them every day. The staff are professional 24/7, very outgoing, and friendly. What more could you ask for?

This is probably the biggest gym in Anchorage. A huge selection of equipment, an upstairs indoor running track, pool, cardio, and circuit traing rooms. Surprisingly, during this heightened COVID period, it is still open. The number of patrons is limited, the pool requires reservations and the facility has alot of equipment down to provide for social distancing.

Great staff; friendly, knowledgeable n eager to help. Pool, wet n dry saunas, hot tub, b-ball courts, in-door track, stationary n free weights in abundance, stationary bikes, spacious, clean, assorted classes n training guidance, and more. Some of the best people i've known or recently met use or work this facility.

One of the best gyms I have ever seen. Besides a plethora of every cardio and lifting apparatus known to man, it also boasts an indoor track, an entire basketball court for the crossfitters and a freaking rock climbing gym. And sun tanning rooms. And the aquatic center is more like a water park with a lap pool. Only reason I don't go here more often is I'm stationed on the elmendorf side
