Pleasant View Bible Church

We have visited Pleasant View several times to worship with our daughter’s family. We have found the people to be extremely friendly, the music very worshipful, and the teaching from Pastor Bob to be biblically sound. If we lived closer, this would definitely be our home church!!!!

At Pleasant View Bible Church we practice biblical church discipline; the goal of which is the restoration of the wayward sinner, the protection of the body, and the glory of Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 5:1, 4, 6; Gal. 6:1). Following the steps laid out in Matthew 18:15-20, and after warnings, rebukes, exhortation, and correction, if a person is consistently unrepentant (shows no remorse and/or willingness to submit to the Lord), church discipline must follow. This process is one that is not done casually, and the ultimate step of excommunication is infrequent (only once in the past 11 years). This is a heart-wrenching experience for us as the desire of all elders is reconciliation and restoration. We understand that we all sin and, paraphrasing Martin Luther, our lives should be one of daily repentance. Thus, we rely daily on the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ to restore us to full fellowship. We take seriously the Scriptural teaching that God is holy and that all sin is abhorrent to Him. This statement simply reflects those cases where there is willful unrepentance. We love each-and-every person who attends PVBC, but we must allow the Word to define the means and manner of fellowship.

PVBC is wonderful. I would recommend anyone looking for a church to call home and wants to grow in their faith to visit PVBC. Each Sunday you can expect to be challenged and encouraged through singing, reading, and hearing from Gods word. My wife and I look forward to meeting you and your family soon!

Solid Biblical teaching, given with conviction. Genuine worship focused on worship not on show. Focused on learning, worship, and fellowship rather than entertainment. Large fellowship halls, plenty of seating, a library, numerous classrooms.

Beautiful church.

It was fine. Nice traditional church. Piano and some voices. Traditional. Could pick up the tempo a bit. Sermon was fine too. Could have cut about 10 minutes or so. Nice to see the passing of the bread and juice but the process could be improved. It is a very nice service, just some suggestions

If you're a broken hurting sinner, then Jesus if for you, this church is NOT. Although most the people are great, the leadership will be quick to boot you out if you're not in line with their religion, or if you're just a broken person in general. Those who need a place to heal, I suggest finding another church.
