Love this church, they are an open and affirming church and live up to their values. The pastor brings a spiritual message for ALL that is relevant to today’s society. Speaking on Christ’s love for all mankind. The congregation is full of loving, kind and compassionate people who make you feel immediately at home and treat you like they’ve known you a lifetime.

Our little great church on the corner

We love the traditional feel of the service pattern, smaller congregation, the historical connection to the Black Forest, the relationship our church has with La Foret, First Step Preschool next door, and most crucially, the open and affirming values celebrated in our spiritual home. My children learn of a loving god and enjoy the prayerground in the church and the Sunday school they attend after half the service. Highly recommend.

We've been attending BFCC for about a year and feel like we've found a community that's looking for the same things we are. Great people, great staff, open and affirming, doing their best to live the Jesus Way!

I am so very glad to have found this faith community. Open and welcoming to all, challenging sermons. Worth the bit of a drive to worship here. ❤

We are new to the area. Please contact me if members of this church would like reasons for this poor review. It's not about a sermon, I never actually got that chance. I'm quite easy to look up and contact and will provide details to any interested church administrator. Perhaps the church can use what happened as a seed for growth. I'm not going to publicly shame them. What they did today to me and my family is between them and God. It is for God to correct their actions if He deems it appropriate. I will keep looking for a more suitable church. We cannot return to a church who rejected us at the door. I've never had that experience before, but if we quite looking though, then we loose. God, I will meet your challenge as you challenged Job. We will not return here, and we will keep looking. Please keep guiding us away from false prophets and people who may hurt my family. Thank you for the guidance and the chance for us to keep looking. 🙏

I saw your response below. You either lied about the details or you are not aware of them. It was never about the mask. I'm sorry you don't have the correct information or the courage to contact me personally. Like I said, this is between you and God. Not you and me. I chose not to defame you, yet you as the "owner" per Google did not offer the same grace. I am taking the higher road, you apparently are not. Now stop attempting to defame me based on lies or poor information. Stop throwing stones as described in John 8 2-11. In the Bible all the accusers of the woman left, none threw the stone. They understood the point Jesus made and that she was caught in the act of adultery. Yet you are here, a representative of your congregation, in a public forum willing to throw stones based on lies or incorrect information. Thank you for proving my point that this is not the church for my family. We cannot be part of your organization. Her accusers in the verse were not so troubled with understanding the truth as you demonstrate below. They accepted their own faults and left without throwing the stone understanding the point that was made. You will be judged not by what you do when things go well, but you will be judged in the end by what you do when things are challenging and do not go so well.
They did not expect that response from Jesus. Throwing metaphoric stones based on lies and incorrect information is troubling for a person leading a congregation. I did not leave because of some silly mask, yet you made that assumption in a pathetic attempt of public defamation and metaphoric stone throwing. A person interested in the truth and shepherding the needy would have reached out prior to attempting a public and false defamation attempt. The woman's accusers could have thrown the stone, yet they picked a higher road and decided instead to deal with the more difficult task of acceptance (in this case acceptance of adultery, an offense that in those days was punished by death by stoning) of her and of their own faults. Your response demonstrates arrogance, ignorance and an unwillingness to seek and understand the truth before making false public accusations. I wish you luck, but we cannot be apart of your journey. A good shepherd of God's people would have reached out to discover the truth and they most certainly would not have thrown the stone without first seeking to understand. I think your response below demonstrates that you walk a troubled path. If you are the spiritual leader in the organization then I fear you may be leading your congregation astray. Hopefully you'll find your way and hold yourself to a higher standard like the woman's accusers. I wish for good luck to you, my friend in Christ. I will pray for you tonight. You are always free to reach out to me if the truth is what you seek.
