We only dropped by to grab a sled, but the staff were very helpful! If you're looking to sled on the dunes, it's far cheaper to buy a sled here ($11!) than the $25 ones at the gift shop.

My sister recently moved to the area and needed a warm coat. She was able to find what she needed quickly and at a good price, and I took advantage of a good sale on socks I needed.

Came here to get sleds for white sands and they had plenty in stock for about 50% of what the park charges! Friendly staff as well

This is the only place in town I've been able to find quality self defense ammunition. It was a little expensive at $45 a box, but when it comes to protecting my self and my family it's worth every penny.

Levi was a great help to my wife when she was purchasing shoes for power walking. He was polite and professional. He was knowledgeable about the various shoes. He also checked stock in the back within being asked.

I called ahead to confirm they had sand sleds. They were pretty inexpensive. The service was good and everyone was friendly. I was in and out in about 5 minutes.

Shoe department at this store is excellent. My wife and I each bought a pair of great summer hiking boots on sale for a fantastic price. Later, I bought a pair of sneakers, one of which turned out to have a defective sole. With the receipt, I had no problem exchanging, though they weren't in stock. The shoe manager, Levi, had the new pair rushed over from another store same day. Just incredibly great service!

Went and bought some shoes and forgot my phone! Went back and it was still in same place I sat it down despite having numerous notifications come through. Any other store in America and someone else would have my phone. Found some cheap tennis shoes and will go back to look over their vast selection of fishing tackle. Store is clean and orderly.

Big 5 in Alomo has a well stocked store, they have a great sale on shoes of all brands. Their sales crew is very helpful and well trained. When I'm In town l always visit. Thanks again

I always like to go in the store and see what items are on the end caps and special racks that are marked down considerably. If you are looking for new shoes, running, basketball, walking and hiking then this is the place to come. Their prices are incredibly reasonable. There is always sales that will make your eyes bleed, up to 60%. Oh and work boots including steel toes.
Just go, walk around and you will find something that you will want. Get in there and enjoy...

Staff are amazing and extremely helpful.

My wife had never been to a Big 5 before so, I took her into this one. I have to say it's much smaller than what I'm use to, but they still have a great selection of things. The staff are very friendly and are always willing to help you. My wife and I are into hiking so, Mac gave us some great pointers on where to go and even hooked us up with one of his own personal maps!

I went for shoes for my kid. The staff was extremely helpful and made my trip stress-free and successful! Plus I was able to find myself some shoes too, double bonus since I'm usually pretty picky
