Chestnut Grove Cemetery

Very old cemetery in Ashtabula where unidentified victims from the Ashtabula train disaster are buried. You will also find the train conductors Mausoleum there as well very close to the monument. There are a lot of very old Graves and mausoleums in this Cemetery very nice to walk around in.

Just read a book ships and men of great lakes. It had the story of Philip Bliss and wife who's name is on head stone. He was known for a prayer for seamen which was known all though the world.

Was a very peaceful cemetery with a lot of History also very sad for all the souls lost from the Bridge Disaster

A beautiful place to stroll and soak up the history.

Solemn place obviously, but oddly comforting place as well. "Drive" ways are small, so please watch how you drive - some headstones are right near the road.
