Ricker Hill Mainiac Hard Cider

I have been to many MANY cideries across the US and even a couple in Europe. When I tell you that this is my favorite cidery 😍 so good and each flavor is so flavorful! Plus a variety to choose from!

Always a great trip out to Ricker Hill! Love the pyo apples, the selection is always great. And you can even pyo grapes and blueberries! The cider at the cider house is delicious and the growlers to go are a great value, the blueberry and pumpkin are 2 of my favorites. Be sure to stop by the shop and get some fresh pumpkin and apple cider doughnuts. And don't forget to play a round of disc golf if its a nice day out.

This was really a neat place to go to! There good inside seating, and twice as much outside. We tested 6 ciders and they were all good. We tasted only some of the 'sweeter ciders'... Jessica was our talented and excellent hostess. She pointed out all the sweet ciders on the long list that they have (approx 15)... They have different sizes of ciders- growlers, flagons, etc.. we were treated to some pretty decent popcorn to help with our flight. The servings were well sized, way bigger than I expected! The caramel apple was the smoothest, but the blueberry 🫐 pancake was my favorite. We got both flavors... If you buy 5, 4/packs, you get a 6th FOR FREE... Just thought I'd throw that in there. They got slushie mix, some beef sticks, chips and other items. They have nice shirts and hoodies (NOT THE PAPAER THIN ONES EITHER). Pretty cool place, well worth the stop! We also went to the farm market store too... DO MUCH GOOD VEGGIES, BAKED GOODS, ETC on offer... WOW... Really something!!

Crisp, sweet and delicious hard cider. The tasting room was fun and creative atmosphere.

Wide variety of hard ciders, we surprisingly liked them all! Some really different like maple, pumpkin, tropical. All they had on tap they also had available by the bottle or can - which is often not the case elsewhere. VERY fairly priced. Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, suggesting recipes, they had popcorn to munch on, and they also sell apple-cider vinegar!

Awesome place. Great lady helped me with a gift and a tasting she suggested. It was delicious. Beautiful store and Tasting Room!

Always a fun place to visit. Caramel Apple cider was absolutely delicious!

Just happened to see a sign for this place on the snowmobile trails so we stopped in. Everyone really enjoyed our tasting and guy working was friendly and helpful in helping us figure out what else is in the area.

Excellent selection of both dry and sweet ciders, very pretty location. I was happy with my flight and enjoyed my time with my friends!

Delicious ciders, fair tasting prices, and friendly staff. The experience was so excellent that we brought home a full case!

2023 edit: Friendly staff! Always changing variety of ciders made from their apples. Great value getting the flights so you can try a variety. We always get a flaggon to go of our favorite flavors. Apple pie, maple, and Blueberry pancake are current favorites.
Awesome outdoor seating in warmer months, limited indoor seating. Perfect stop on an afternoon adventure.

2020/2021: 5 Stars for product and value -A must visit if you are in the area. If you love hard cider, this is the best there is! Flavors of the Cider are awesome! Get the refillable flaggon if you plan to visit again.
2 Stars for Covid-19 safety-I was disappointed to see the employee not wearing a mask...
They did provide masks and sanitizer to guests, and had signs saying masks required (thank you).

SO WORTH THE DRIVE! Beautiful, clean, and inviting tasting room with very friendly staff and some delicious ciders on tap! They had 10 different varieties on tap when I was there as well as an ice cider, cranberry wine, and 2 taps of non-alcoholic sweet cider as well. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is very friendly and accommodating to say the least!

My favorites were the Maniac Gold (their flagship cider), The Black label (more of a dry traditional style cider), and the hopped honey oak!

Great service and amazing cider. Amazingly wide selection of ciders which you can do as very reasonably priced flights and tasters. Seriously, if you're used to having to order the one cider on a menu, this is an otherworldly experience. So great to be able to compare so many cider flavors side-by-side.

Fantastic, delicious ciders. The property is beautiful and the tasting room is clean and well-designed. The staff is super friendly and will give you personal tours. The prices are cheap and you get to keep the glasses you decide to buy (pint or wine glass). Don't miss this place!

I have tried many ciders but no have compared to Ricker Hill. Owners are not only friendly but very accomodating. This year I got to try the Pumpkin cider. Oh my God - truly awesome.

We are Mainers for generations and this is the best orchards here. Homemade cookies, pies, donuts (apple cider donuts are a must try), apples, cranberries, blueberries, pumpkins of every size and color and more all grown on the farm. A fantastic playground with animal petting area perfect for the kids (note: there is a charge which is costly if more than one child). Also a tasting room for their own hard cider in many flavors to chose from, wines and one of my favorites, raw apple cider vinegar with mother which is outstanding in recipes. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Check it out.
