I have brought family members for surgical procedures and every time have been satisfied with the services and care we have received. Today, administration was giving employees free lunch!

My surgeon was very nice to me and I asked him about his faith before my surgery. First, I was really sick and in the hospital for three days I was touch and go and when I arrived by rescue squad they were prepared for a heart attack or maybe an appendicitis attack. As it turns out my gall bladder had become infected and turned green and needed to be removed. My surgeon saved my life. His name is William T Cummins. When I thanked him and told him so..he very humbly responded that all thanks was to God Almighty and not to himself. I really appreciated his comment and his great attitude.

My daughter had to have major surgery here on November 2nd. Since surgery the Doctors and all the nurses on 2nd floor have been wonderful. Especially since she had complications. All shifts of her nurses have been a blessing. 💕

My sister was really sick. Thank God to the staff at this hospital for making her stay wonderful. The staff was always checking on her and trying there best to make her comfortable.

Was packed spent 9 hours in emergency room but it help so it was worth the wait people were very good to us

I had an out patient procedure done here last week at this hospital for my Heart. My first time there and I traveled 1 hour to get there . I have nothing but Great things to say about the staff and my surgeon Dr. Julius Gasso. I am very Grateful for them all, for helping my Heart ❤ to feel better.Thank you for all your hard work and Thank you to Ballard Health. Great place would recommend to everyone.

Wonderful nursing staff in the cancer center, the absolute sweetest man that volunteers, he goes way beyond the call of duty to keep both patients and family member’s comfortable!!!

Johnston Memorial Hospital made my first birthing experience better than I could have asked for. The ER got me in a room in about 2 minutes after walking in. The nurses and doctors were absolutely amazing, caring and so very helpful. Abingdon Hospital is amazing and I would recommend them to anyone!

My mother was admitted here for a very serious stroke. I have to say the Er staff were absolutely
Wonderful. My mom was not able to recover due to the seriousness of her condition and her age. But I can’t say enough to commend this hospital. I just want to thank them for everything they did from the bottom of my heart.
From the Er Dr. And staff to 3rd floor icu Drs and 2nd floor nursing staff, and the chaplain, they treated my mom so Well. She was always clean and well taken care of. Her personal care was great, all the drs and staff were so professional but down to earth as well and explained everything to me in terms I would understand - they are so compassionate and caring - our family cannot say enough to Thank the entire staff for the care they extended to my mom and our family.

After a surprise visit to the ER, ended up being admitted for four days. The care was superb and fast. The staff including nurses and administrative persons could not have been more responsive and caring. The Doctors were very professional and knowledgeable.
I couldn’t give the nurses in 2200 a higher recommendation. Treat you like Family!

Best and most efficient ER I have ever experienced!

It was the best hospital I’ve been to so far. I needed emergency surgery for my gallbladder and got transported there. The nurses was amazing when I was in pain and sick. They got my ivs in better than the nurses at clinch valley. The housekeeping lady was the best part of my mornings, she took time out her day and gave me a get well soon card which I’ve never saw anyone do before. Joesph and Courtney on nightshift was by far my favorite.

Do not knock this small town hospital until you try it. I Have been in and out of the local hospitals in the surrounding areas and I have never had the care or attention that my aunt has received in here. We have been here a week with multiple emergency procedures. At other area hospitals you may wait a day or 3 for the dr to come in. Here they have called us and come in to chat 3 x a day! It’s unreal! Nurses are happy and seem to enjoy being here. Dr.Cummins and dr.Cobb and dr. Adada thank you 🙏🏻 God blessed us greatly by putting you all in her path!

Unfortunately I have had 2 heart attacks but this hospital gave me great treatment and all the folks I dealt with were awesome.

This review is specifically regarding Labor and Delivery. I was recently induced at JMH and just want to say that I received the best care I have ever received in a hospital or doctors office. The nurses and doctors were absolutely amazing! I had multiple nurses and multiple doctors that checked in on me and every single one of them were fantastic. I recommend using Abingon OBGYN and giving birth at JMH.

Entered the emergency room at 7:30 at night. Was cared for immediately. Examined and sent for diagnostics inside an hour, in a room (admitted) in two hours. Received the kindest most compassionate care and my very serious condition turned around and discharged in two days. A true bright spot in the darkest of times. Very thankful that this is where we were when tragedy struck while traveling! Four Drs and the rest of the folks were the utmost in caring, friendly and professional staff.

Me and my daughter had surgery here. Staff was superb to us. Dr cummins was most appreciative. Anesthesiologist Angela was the bomb. She was so great with my daughter. That was most important to me. I thank the surgery team.

My mom hardly ever goes to the doctor for anything, but she had been very ill and let me take her to the ER at JMH. They got her straight in and began doing tests on her. My mom doesn't have medical insurance and was worried the hospital wouldn't give her the treatment she needed because of this. After the xrays came back it was determined she needed a CT scan after the CT it was determined she needed to stay in the hospital and have a biopsy the next day. My mom voiced her concerns about not having insirance. Everyone reassured her that they would take care of her dispite that. She ended up having to stay several days and have a biopsy surgery. Every doctor, nurse, aid, housekeeping, everyone that had anything to do with her care treated her with care and kindness ensuring she had everything she needed and was as comfortable as possible. I've worked in the medical field for many years and never have I seen or found a hospital that was as caring about the patient...not worried about how they were going to get their money. Very thankful for every employee for the outstanding care for my mother.

My son had surgery there at the hospitalph 2 years ago, He was treated very well by all of the staff, as the matter of the fact my whole family that is went to visit , my son, while he was in the hospital, they were also treated with the upmost respect & we were also asked if we ever needed anything. I. Could never ask forward any better care for my son.His name is Robert SHORTRIDGE, he needed special care for because he is. Handicapped. He was in there for knee surgery there., &they did a great job.
