The Amherst Corner Restaurant

Stopped for a lunch on our day travelling. Upon entering we were immediately warmly greeted and made to feel welcome. The place was clean, basic dinner food, reasonably priced, quick service, fresh and tasty food. The service was outstanding, friendly, attentive but at the same time not too in your face or annoying. Definitely will come back if I am passing again.

The Amherst Corner Restaurant is a hidden gem I stumbled upon while leaving Delaware. on my way to Atlanta… Located next to a convenient truck stop, (60 min parking) 🅿
the crispy wings and delicious pizza were a pleasant surprise. The cashier's friendly demeanor brightened my day, although I regret not catching her name. As an OTR truck driver from Atlanta, (the home of hot wings) finding quality wings can be a challenge on the road, but this place nailed it. The added bonus of a full ice cream bar, pizza etc. Highly recommended!

Delicious, clean, and kind staff! Stopped by on a whim and so glad we did. Our food was exactly what I was hoping for. Made to order and perfection. The jumbo hotdog and chili cheese fries hit the spot. They also serve up hand dipped Hershey's ice cream for dessert. We will definitely be repeat customers in the near future ❤

Amazing experience. In town for work. Burger was awesome. Ice cream lovely. Staff super friendly. Clean restrooms and everything else, too. Wow. Must visit.

We stopped in on the way to visit family. What a awesome surprise... Great food.... Wonderful service, and a sweet waitress named Kim who made us feel right at home. She took time to explain the menu and answer our question. We will definitely visit again!

This place has amazing customer service and the food is just great! It's good old country cooking and not to mention the ICE CREAM!!!! And they have FRIED PICKLES!!!!! And they are hands down the best fried pickles ANYWHERE!!!

Been here multiple times and always get their delicious ice cream! They have adorable kiddos serving who are always friendly and courteous. The "Family" in their name is very appropriate. Moving out west next week, I'm definitely going to miss this place!

My husband,Randy, and I have passed by this attractive restaurant numerous times within the last several years as we were traveling to North Carolina to visit family members. I frequently told my husband that I wanted to stop to eat at this restaurant sometime.Due to our own scheduling issues, we could not seem to work out a time to stop there. Today,we decided to drive from our home in Stuarts Draft,which is 42 miles away,because we wanted to eat at Amherst Corner Restaurant! Wow- what a wonderful experience! We were welcomed by the pleasant and friendly owner as soon as we walked in, seated at a cozy booth,and served by Kim,a lovely and kind lady. We enjoyed talking to the owner as we made many connections with him and our own family and friends. Our food and ice cream was delicious! On our way home,we discussed the fun and heartwarming visit we had at this lovely restaurant.We will definitely return very soon!

Amazing little hidden gem. Their food is amazing, and we tried quite a few things from mozzarella sticks to burgers and in between. And don’t miss their special sauces. The ice cream selection is incredible and the shakes are delicious! Can’t rave enough about the service. A+++

Great folks and really good burgers,wings and loaded fries. The Roro sauce was yummy. Didn't get a chance to try the Herseys ice cream but I will on our return trip

The mwal was all Home Made and Delicious, and our server, Kim was an absolute treasure....what a wonderful experience...and all by a LOCAL, NON CHAIN ESTABLISHMENT...which makes it all the more special

We enjoyed our meal very much and especially Emily! She was very friendly and efficient, everything was very good! They had a great selection of different Hersey ice cream flavors also. Fresh apple turnovers, cooked to order!

Check it out. I was amazed by the friendliness AND the food. Prices are reasonable, though in my opinion they could charge more and I wouldn't complain. It's about $8 per dish.

I’ve been wanting to try a burger at Amherst Corner, for a while, and got to today! That was the most delicious cheese burger I’ve ever eaten, when eating out!!! It was perfect!

Fun, and easy in and out. Great food and burgers were very tasty. The staff were all very friendly. We would definitely go back.

I have nothing bad at all to say about this restaurant.. I hope they are around for many years cause I look forward to going back and trying other items... definitely make it a stop if your in that area

A friend of mine and I stopped here to have a quick meal. I had often driven by but never had a chance to stop and I'm glad that I did! The service was good, the food was good, and I really enjoyed myself just sitting there afterwards chatting in the nice atmosphere of the restaurant. You will be glad you stopped!

After a day of hiking, we stopped for ice cream. Delicious... So good, it was gone before I could take a photo. 😉

There were over a dozen options one got the mint chocolate chip, one got a scoop of the raspberry and a scoop of the cherry, one had the cheesecake and a scoop of the brownie one, and I had the roasted peanut butter. We all enjoyed our ice cream and would definitely recommend a visit 🍦

The Codfish sandwich was delicious as well as the onion rings and the Ro Ro sauce was very tasty! Our waitress Karen S was a sweetheart and very helpful! We will be back, good Lord willing.
