The Sunrise Shack

Easily the best breakfast in town! You know because the parking lot is packed depending on the time. A very cozy place that makes you feel at home. The bowls were perfect portions, hardy, and packed with flavor. I'm pretty sure the bread is made in house or fresh from a bakery either way a very nice touch.

Found this awesome place via Yelp and was impressed with the reviews. So decided for my family of five to check this out before heading to tubing. The wait was about 20 mins but the hostess asked if we can split our family between a table of two and three of us. Kids were hungry so I said yes! Turned out fine as my girls had their space. My son loves sitting between me and his daddy. All happy.

Our waitress was awesome and food came in pretty quick. Other employees were also so nice and smiling. The place is very clean including the restroom.

My biscuits and gravy were so flavorful. My two kids and Hubby loved their flapjacks. My oldest daughter loved her French toast and other food she's ordered.

Overall, all five stars. We come up here from Boston every February, so this will be definitely be one of our regular stop in the future.

We went here on a weekday morning and it was almost full! This clearly speaks of the amazing food and the popularity of the sunrise shack amongst locals and tourists alike. We loved the breakfast items, each dish tasted better than the other. I particularly loved the breakfast risotto (that was customised for me without eggs). The blueberry pancakes were amazing too! Service was quick and the staff were friendly and courteous.
Thankfully we got the last available parking spot, there is space for about 8-9 cars in front of the restaurant.

Hidden Gem! We’ve been coming up here for years and this place has always been so packed that it was almost intimidating to stop. Well today we did and what an amazing spot for breakfast. Fast, friendly and phenomenal food. Prices are more than reasonable too for a family of four!

We will absolutely be back. The biscuits and gravy were some of the best I’ve had and don’t even get me started on the chocolate chip pancakes!!

I was so impressed! Pulling up I was a little worried, coming from Mass most small diners like this have people who are kinda rude working for them but not this place! A women who I think was the owner opened the door and welcomed us with a big smile. Our table was super cute. Our waitress was super sweet and everyone helped with all the tables and running food. I would highly recommend if you visit to go to this gem 💎

Stopped in AFTER morning skiing for brunch. Quick seating and excellent service. Extensive menu options took us a minute to digest — too many wonderful choices!

Decided on a “basics” option of scrambled eggs, homemade sausage, hash brown potatoes and rye toast. Delicious

Granddaughter went with the BTB Burger (back to basics), cheddar cheese, with fries. Wonderful pickle, tomatoes and lettuce / no filter they were that nice!! Medium well on a nice brioche bun. Mmmmm

*** NOTE - We asked — Burgers only available after 11:30 so NOT a early breakfast option. ***. Sooo good we went back the next day too! She got the same burger but I went with Shack Toast and a side of bacon. Mmm

After years and years of driving by this very unassuming shack wondering how the heck is this place always so busy, we finally stopped in. Wow. Blown away. I will admit it was a little bit of a production to get in here, find parking, get added to the wait list, stand outside with the buzzer just for breakfast... But the line moves pretty quick and this breakfast was truly an awesome meal if you're not in a rush. Once finally inside I was shocked with how cute and clean it is, but also how much space everyone gets. They could pack everyone in tighter than they are with the line outside they have, but it's pretty comfortable inside! We got two yard sales, a plate of pancakes to split, 2 cups of coffee, and an apple juice. One of the more expensive breakfasts we've eaten out, but everything was excellent and from scratch. Highly recommend if you want a nice breakfast with some unique options! Was hard to choose a plate 🤤

This place was epic! The specials to the breakfast brews and mimosas they have for sale here are perfect! The sausage patties were the best thing! I don't generally eat at the same place twice while on vacation, but I ate here three times!

The staff was quite friendly, but they didn't take any nonsense from entitled people. They kept smiles on their faces, while dealing with difficult people, nut they acted as a solid phalanx. I saw a couple get angry that they were seated, but they neglected to tell the staff about the baby in the stroller, which didn't fit in the small restaurant.

That being said, the size of the dining room was small, very small. There wasn't any place to wait inside, so if the place was full, you were standing outside in the weather. Nonetheless, what awaits you inside is worth the rain, the cold, and even the snow!

We arrived in the area and had been recommended from a local to check this spot out. We are definitely not disappointed. We loved it so much the first day we came back once more before returning home. Food was delicious, especially the "Yard Sale."

Love this place. Best place around for breakfast. Everything is delicious, causal vibes, and friendly/quick service. Price is totally reasonable too for the quality you get. My kids love it too - and they have GF options for my daughter who has celiac disease as well, which I’d add an extra star ⭐ for if I could :)

The food was made with fresh ingredients, and the dishes burst with flavor. Their breakfast bowls are stellar! The pancakes are scrumptious, and aren't too thick if you want a stack. Pro tip: try the homemade sausage. It's unlike any you've tasted before.
The staff are kind and patient, and best of all: down-to-earth. There's no sense of putting on a false kindness; these people are actually this nice.
The atmosphere is relaxed, with clever signage and a sense of ease that leaves you feeling comfortable to sit and eat without rushing... although your food won't stay on your plate for long.

My family and I plan on coming back here every time we're in the area, and we hope Sunrise Shack stays in business for a long time to come.

If I could use one word to describe The Sunrise Shack it would be “fabulous”! It was so good we went three days in a row before skiing on our long weekend trip. The banana and blueberry pancakes were the best we’ve ever had!! Service was great, Kali greeted us with a warm & inviting welcome. Trisha made our experience so personal and fun! Tommy the busser was on fire clearing tables and always smiling! Such a nice young man! Thanks for the wonderful meals, look forward to coming again next time we are in NH!

This is a small little place so they have a little way of finding out if they have room you go up to a window and find out how long it will wait it's going to be. We were very lucky and got it right away. I had the blueberry pancakes and they were sensational. The blueberries were in the pancake not just all over the top of it. I like it this way much better. The bacon could be a little more crispy, but other than this it was good. Served quickly enough. Priced reasonably as well. I would go here again.

Best breakfast in the area. Go early or be prepared to wait, it is 💯 worth the wait. They have an outdoor area for eating which is serviced bet the take out window.

They have homemade sausage which is amazing. It is a little sweet followed by a little heat. They make their own bread. Anadama was my favourite.

The first time we went was on own way out hiking, we asked for breakfast sandwiches which were not on the menu. We had huge (“large”) English muffins with cheese sausage and egg. Absolutely delicious and sustaining for a trek up Mt Washington.

From a coffee snob, they actually have pretty darn good coffee. You can also grab a beer with your brekkie.

We went again for a sit down brekkie before leaving. We went with traditional breakfast of fried eggs (medium is a true medium) and a meat with home fries and bread. They make their own bread. I tried the Anadama and it was delicious again! Corn meal and molasses.

Service is amazingly fast and the staff are wonderful. This place is popular for good reason!! The value for money is definitely in the customers favour.

Parking can fill up so you may have to wait for someone to leave despite being a pretty big lot.

Seeing that the place was packed, we thought the food would be great so decided to give it a try. We didn't actually eat inside but instead grabbed breakfast to go. Even though they were crazy busy the person at the window was super friendly and took our order for a group of 7. Food was ready in about 30 minutes and we drove down the road to find a nice place to sit outside. Food was absolutely awesome! Definitely adding this to the list of regular stops.

Really good food all around for my entire family. The waitress was really nice and patient.

I had the Californian Omelet which was probably my favorite breakfast on this vacation trip.

Food as amazing! Bit if a wait as it’s a busy place so nice place to come to chat and have a longer breakfast. Would definitely come back! Homemade maple sausage was so good!

We had Nutter Burger and Mushroom burger with onion rings, fry’s and a beer. ALL EXCELLENT! Staff treated us like family. Love this place and will return to try more of their interesting menu items.

Great food. Great service. Worth the wait! Food was fresh and portions were perfect. Try the stuffed french toast. We had a variety of breakfast bowls and omelettes and all were amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Soooo good! We go there once or twice a year every winter (10 years) when we come for vacation. It is always delicious -the food and service always consistently great. I highly recommend. It will be worth the wait. They give you buzzer that you can take to your car and sit comfortably while you wait. I recommend the huevos rancheros. Get the freshly made salsa! It's out of this world!
