Polleria Pablo

The food is absolutely fantastic. The tallarin verde rivals the best pestos you could get at any Italian restaurant. The verde salsa was amazingly fresh without too much heat, and the rotisserie chicken was moist and tender.

Pablo relocated to the back of a Latin Grocery store. Obviously, it isn’t fancy, but the food is great.

The definition of a hole in the wall, Pablo's serves up authentic (I'm told) south American cuisine. Many dishes bear a Chinese influence, such as the arroz chine plates, while more typical tex-mex favorites are available too, such as tacos and tortas, as well as comida estadounidense, like french fries. Everything I tried was plentiful, high quality, and delicious. The bread for the torta was surprising in its quality, many other places use cheapo ingredients. Homemade salsas are excellent. Food was not fast to emerge, but I was sort of into that. I will return as much as possible.

Amazing food! If you want authentic Peruvian food in Athens this is the place to go. They also have a fun market attached to restaurant. Difficult spot to find, but it's at the back of the lot across the road from Ollie's between the McDonald's and the package store. Chicken Milanesa with aji is 🤯

First, WHERE IS IT?
It is inside the convenient store by the gas station. If you don't know that it's there, you are not gonna discover it just by driving by the road. When we were there, we didn't even see any signboard outside.

Two, the staff don't speak English. However, their menu is in English, so you will be able to order.

Three, bring cash. They are not gonna except cards. If you don't bring cash, then you have to use the ATM inside the convenient store and pay the fee for withdrawing money.

Three caveats, but still, I gave it five stars because I evaluate how much satisfaction are you getting vs how much are you spending. This is a great place for that ratio. Food is cheap, and food is plenty (I mean, quite large portions, you will have to ask for to-go boxes). And the food is tasty. It will taste and feel home-made.

The staff is very friendly and polite. They can't explain a lot about the menu, as they don't speak English. But there is very little to explain. Menu is quite self-explanatory.

It's not a fancy place. But that's not important. You come here for comfort food, you come here to eat and nothing else. I enormously enjoyed eating here and will definitely come back to eat some more.

The city transit (route 30) goes there. So, if you don't have a car, you should be able to go there.

I highly recommend everyone to go to this place.

Pablo is on East Side now. He has delicious food and big portions. The restaurant is in the back of the store. His store has many Latino items like foods, snacks, drinks. Check it out.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Athens. I've been to Perú and I consider this most authentic Peruvian food in town. Great food and great service!
